gotta love dealing with a promoter who works as hard as you do..
I guess you don't have tv on the farm or a smartphone, going to rain all day tomorrow. Smart move pulling the plug.

He wants to race !
Would rather hear about it at lunchtime Saturday . But you can make the assumption people in general will assume its not a good Saturday to go to the races and watch .. But The Danimal wants to run until the downpour soaks the track!.
Put the cars on the track and get the " Vortex" going!
It looks ugly but the "Models" have a Crappy record more than 24 hours away!

The Miley's would rather go to Lernerville and watch Jared try to get an outlaw win then be stuck at their own track. Could you blame them for canceling this early.

The World of Outlaw late model race has a big influence on the fan base also. I highly doubt fans would choose PMS over Lernerville this Saturday.

I saw this coming a week ago, and frankly I don't blame them, doubt WOO will get their show in tomorrow either.Poor planning as far as scheduling goes for PPMS.

You guys are forgetting that PPMS had a Sprint Car race set for Saturday, not Late Models. A lot of fans in this area just go to one or the other!! Mercer & Sharon are both down this week and Marion Center is done for the year
GOOD RACING!!!

Without PPMS depending on the rain it's either Attica or take your pick between Port Royal and Lincoln.
Port Royal also has a UFo race. Can't see PA fans worrying if Lernerville runs only Lates, with Port Royal is so close.
It's not like you'd be missing a Lucas race, it's only WoO Lates. Do you think there will even be a full field of 20 at Lernerville, especially with the rain predicted?
Looks like out East has the best chance of having the rain clear out.

" Severe " Weather is a joke ! there isn't a meteorologist within 500 miles of PPMS that does anything but spout off the latest " SEVERE " weather Computer model to be scared of !
it sprinkled a little in the morning and now the sun is out ! 10 miles from the track!
going to race at Tri-city next week .. Severe weather moving in to certainly cancel the monster trucks next weekend at PPMS !!
There isn't a rain shower within 150 miles of ppms right now !
Bad call to go by SEVERE CATASTROPHIC YOUR GONNA DIE WEAHER FORCAST !
If your in construction .. you know these bozos at " Severe" weather cant predict past 24 hours and its a crap shoot then!
But they can tell you what the temperature on earth will be in 100 years !
Promoter has to make a decision for his best interest ..but based on a weather forecast the day before ? Bad decision!
By noon the day of the race is plenty notice to all that intended to go .

Well with pretty much everywhere calling for rain later today, I think these tracks made the right decision.

Fans no longer show up when the weather forecast is iffy. I'm a die-hard race fan, but other than Lernerville or PPMS, I no longer drive far away when the forecast is bad. Is that sometimes a bad decision? Yes, but more often than not, it's the correct one.

Plenty of rain moving in from the south as forecasted. Do you armchair quarterback for the steelers too?

They called it right 100% this time ! Great day for construction as the light rain only happened for 15 minutes two times here 20 minutes from the track
But yep ! A call Friday afternoon for the weather on Saturday evening was spot on !
Still don trust " Severe weather " more than 24 hours out ! and never will ..
Flash you are definitely right .. I don't think they will drive 30 minutes anymore as you can see in the stands when the weather is iffy.
And if anybody thinks you can base an outdoor business on the weatherman of today Computer model.. Your already out of business
the NFL ? No .. stick to what I know .. and the weatherman .. I know! he is barely 50% unless you count " partly cloudy with a chance of rain". as a forecast .. Remember .. their forecast covers a 150 mile radius .. So the 40% of rain is 40% that somewhere in 150 miles will get rain!
Have to say that was a great call this time ! As a racer ... and like the 67x.. Still want to hope to get out there until its obvious there is no chance ... like noon Saturday..

The early notice made it so 4 area cars could make the tow to Attica plus 3 area allstar regulars who were there. Maybe AJ towed east for a rain out because PPMS canceled. PPMS would have had at least 10 sprints proly better then the Late Model count at Lernerville.
Instead of calling regular Late Models "Super Late Models" they should just be called Late Models, Limiteds called "Limited Late Models" and crates called "Lesser Late Models".
Late Models are "Late Models", everything else ain't!
