I know this upcoming weekend is the World 100 at Eldora, while I'd love to make it out there I probably won't be able to make the 4-1/2 hour trip this time. I see that Port Royal has the ASCoC sprints for a 50k to win show but that one's about 3-1/2 hours for me. Does anyone know of anyhing else going on close to Western PA, maybe within 2 hours of Greensburg? I might try to make it to Port but I thought I'd ask if anyone knew of anything else. Thanks.

Sharon has their Applefest with $3,000 to win for Sprintm Cars and extra $$$ for support classes on Saturday.
Sunday Tri-City has their last race with Late Models, Penn-Ohio Pro-Stocks for a 50 lapper, RUSH Sportsman Modified and 305 Sprints. I plan to make them both for a good racing weekend!!

Did.... Says what the basics are for the 305 sprints, and that's all I see, plus this: "names like Satterlee, Blair, Frank, Ferree, Norris & more", which Norris, Frank, and Satterlee I would think will be at Eldora, and not likely to hit Tri-City after that unless it's a pretty decent purse... Please provide a link to the purse if you know where it is.... Race isn't listed on the D on D schedule of special events either... Thanks..

Norris is at eldora, so is Gregg. Chub normally doesnt go, but I doubt he will race tri city for such a small purse when he is so busy at the shop. No word on Alex, but I
doubt he goes.

Applefest could be two great nughts of racing or it could be a snoozefest. There has been zero consistency eith track prep and half the time they pack the cushion in. A slick track with no cushion makes for a rough and boring night. I fear that's what they'll get. With sprints I'm sure track prep has been minimal and they'll want it slick. If that's the case the sprints will run the cushion to the wall and then it'll be gone. Sprints will be first and everything after will be a train. I hope not but that's my guess. Maybe the forecasted rain will put a little moisture in the track and they can maintain a cushion.

He finished 5th in his heat race that took the top 4 to the A and finished 3rd in the B when they took the top 2 so he was a DNQ tonight.
