Does anyone have any tips when removing glass for an Enduro car?  The side windows aren't too bad but the back window and the windshield are a real PITA.  I have seen some people try to use a cable to "saw through" the rubber seal.  Different things I've tried have not worked and I end up smashing them out with glass everywhere...

Probably just call a local glass guy. I cant imagine they'll charge more than $50 or $75 and the lack of a mess is well worth it.

if you go the smash method, tape up both sides of the glass..it reduces the mess

Going get a big piece of tape and tape over the windows on both sides. Then gently start smashing the glass on out. By taping both sides you will have very little mess.

All you need is a 12 guage shotgun. Just remember to shoot all windows from the inside out so that you don't have to vacuum up broken glass from the interior of the car.

I have used the hood cable or piano wire with success. Hi will have to use a scraper to get started under the seal but it works good. Easier with 2 people but I have done it myself

Maybe I'll try that before I start busting it.  If I bust it, i'll be sure to tape it all up.  Thanks!

While reading this thread I got an idea which might work.  Side windows are tempered glass designed to break into a million pieces for safety reasons.  The windshield is made with a layer between pieces of glass to hold it intact.  I see the problem with both is to try to contain the glass.  Taping it was offered as a way to keep broken pieces intact.  Might painting the glass with a tar on both sides of the windows front and side, that dries to be flexible yet not sticky be a solution?  The tar if you find one which can be painted on dry flexible yet not sticky be a help?  Maybe that spray on seal stuff that use to be advertised on TV?

Most guys pull the door panels to reinforce the doors. At that point it's just a few bolts to remove the glass.
