If it has been, you can find most deed info on the county auditor's web site. If there is a change in ownership they will know first.

Ramey here from UMI. We have indeed entered into an agreement to purchase the speedway.

Initial plans are to clean up and prepare for private auto-x and road race testing use.

Our Cruise-In auto-x event will be held there in August 2018.

The asphalt oval configuration will be preserved and used for testing. Of course we may rent to oval teams if desired.

We will also use to host local auto-x and road course clubs and possible driving schools.

A few feet of clay has been recommended 423 times so we know... :D

I'm going to say in the short-term no.

In general though it's a good thing to keep the property maintained and viable. As time passes I'm sure we'll look at many options.

Ramey, I am thinking that it would be costly to put dirt on the track to run a special, then take it back off to do testing.

Yes this area needs another track.
With the other three having to run d, c, and b mains for all the divisions every weekend and having full grandstands it's a gold mine waiting to be tapped....

Well it seems as tho they do have a plan in place moving forward into 2018. As Ramsey said 425 times, counting myself and wolfie, it has been suggested. Sure we would all like to see dirt back on the place. As dirt1 also mentioned tracks are turning cars and fans away. I can only say good luck on your purchase and that at least it won't become a photo of where a track used to be. Maybe that's were the younger generation is moving toward. Tuner cars, I call them. Daul purpose machines. Drive them to work then off to the asphalt track to play.

I wish them the best with their new approach to keeping the speedway maintained. There are many uses for the facility other than dirt track racing, and I've been dirt track racing for 30 years now. We must keep an open mind. if you count the amount of dirt tracks in our area we have plenty. maybe once a year they could host a swap meet, like canton does. That deal is huge. I do miss the old Hidden Valley, fun racing and not hard on motors.

Mixed emotions...Cool to see someone buy it but sucks they didn't buy it with any real purpose of having oval races...

Back in the 60's I use to go to a lot of SCCA and other sports car races.  Back then there was a similar saying when a car wrecked or broke of "Guess who drove to the track?".

But then big money crept in and even low budget SCCA racing changed.  After it was changed by big money it dwindled down to what it is today.. Today there's too much pay to play that has pretty much destroyed or eliminated small time sports car racing.

They still have local scca at a area park north of pittsburg. At one time you would see 50 + cars. They would also run at some of the small airports in surrounding county's. Weekend 2 day events would bring 100 cars. I no they have that multi purpose track out of rt. 18. Speaking of that place. I heard they are/were getting a large field of shifter carts out there ? I helped a guy that had a formula vee. We went to Virginia and Ohio for 2 bigger races and I gotta tell you it just didn't do it for me.

Our cars and products are part of the Pro-Touring and G-machine movement. Think Chevelles that can run with a C7 Vette, 600-800 hp LS engines, big brakes, sticky street tires and so forth. We build suspension parts, springs, shocks and sway bars to make this kind of car happen.
