What is the schedule of events for the Pittsburgher this weekend? I know that Friday will be qualifying events but don't know the format or order for Friday or Saturday. Anybody know anything?

Those Lucas racers are tough good thing they have provisionals so some deserving local drivers can race the big race too like the guys high up in the points that don't qualify because it will be hard to make that race those guys race so much more than our locals and are used to time trials it would be cool if a local guy made the race they can give it a shot but have the safety net of the provisionals I wonder if PPMS will tell the guys they will be eligible for a provisional ahead of time so if you expect a provisional and don't get one you don't think they're just making up rules that you don't fit because you know if someone is expecting a provisional and doesn't get one they will think that's not right.

The Lucas Series only has about a dozen full time travelers, so there should be quite a few locals that will make the race!!
GOOD RACING!!!!

Traditionally, the Conleys, Carpenters, Carrier, and others have gone to Ohio's Skyline Speedway Harvest 50, however, this year (on Oct. 7) it's only paying $3,000 to win, so some of those folks may come to Pittsburgh.

Have they always scheduled this race against the Pittsburgher? I remember it being held on the 3rd weekend in September as well.

I went to the Sharon 100 lap Dirt Car race and though I like dirt racing couldn't wait for it to end. 100 laps is too long for me. I see a 100 lap race at PPMS as bad for being long as my first ever NASCAR race I just went to in Michigan. Never thought about it before but it being 100 laps is enough to keep me from going there. For others I'd bet they wish it was 200 laps, but not me anything after 50 gets real hard to stay for.

Both the Pittsburgher and Harvest 50 have moved around a lot lately, but often seem to be on the same weekend. The Harvest 50 used to pay a lot more money, and I don't believe Skyline ran a full season this year. There is also a $3,000 to win at 201 Speedway, right down the road from Jackie Boggs's home. 201 sat idle all season and ran their first race in mid September.

Local Georgia boy beat them all Saturday night at Dixie Speedway. Michael Paige
We have some very good local racers here, but Dixie Speedway is a much shorter track, and The Shootout was only 60 laps. Some of our locals will run very well, but it's hard to sustain the pace needed to win for 100 laps. I'd like nothing better than to see a local win, but it's really a tough order against the Lucas Oil guys.

Do we really have to ask anymore if the Blairs will travel more than 50 miles to be at a Super Late touring series event?
Yeah I guess not. Was thinking he may compete in both the RUSH and Supers.
