RUSH has still not teched his motor yet. Saw a Facebook post where he wants to go racing but RUSH still has his motor. Questions about the timing of the protest have been raised since the protest was not filed within 10 minutes of the finish of the race. Also an issue about the winner protesting the motor, but another car owner actually paying for the tear down that did not finish high enough to lodge the protest.

Motor will be tore down Monday at 6 by Jason Ore from 955 at Rush headquarters. I have no worries as this motor is 4 years old and right out of the crate, also msd rev limiter box is strait from the box and is 4 years old. Been a pretty bad deal all around but yet this should put the "He's Cheating" to rest!

I see the same thing happening to the new sprint car class. it's going to be someone that can't afford the hi costs and moves down and dominates. Hey it's going to be halloweenie soon and there greedie little hands will make it all right. you stay tuned for that one.

From what class did he move down?

Vicki trying to turn racing into nascrap, wwe, nfl, were the competition doesn't matter and the results are determined in the office.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

I'm glad everything was found legit,  but the original question was,  who pays for all this tear down and rebuild??

per Rush 2015 Modified online rules:

13. In the event that the series confiscates engine, for inspection, and said engine is found to be legal, and comply with the all the rules, the "Series" will provide a full GM gasket set, and the seals to reassemble engine at no charge to the authorized rebuilder and engine owner. If engine is protested by another racer for inspection, the engine owner is responsible for all expenses required for reassembly.

Watching the race I expected the engine to pass tech.  Rocky Kugel flat out beat the other cars in the corners.  If anything I saw him slightly down on speed comparing his car to others on the back stretch.  It was  fun to watch the great job of patient controlled driving.

??? So if I protest, let's say Max Blairs motor, because everyone believes he wins to much. It is Max's responsibility to pay for the rebuild ? If so that's bull chit.

If he would have or was protested per the 2015 Mod rules the protest fee is $900 and if the engine passes tech the winner gets $650 of the protest fee.  I suspect $650 would be enough to cover paying who ever tore it down to put it back together.  Even enough to throw new rings at it if needed.

So instead of stealing a championship, Vicki bought new caskets, and gave Rocky a partial refresh.

RUSH is still privately going to look at the cam on a Cam Doctor. They are not ready to throw in the towel yet and officially declare Rocky legal.

Rocky just posted on Facebook the cam in his four year old engine is legal. Now they can put his picture on their website and fancy pamphlets as their 2017 champion! The guy really put up with a ton of shit from RUSH, but in the end, he beat them. Congratulations on your championship.
