I heard that Sadie's going.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

The Tickets they are selling now stink.

Are the seats absolutely assigned or can you move around and maybe go up the stands and sit with friends if there is room

Thanks!

You are required to only watch from your seat unless you have a pit pass.

There are ushers posted to prevent you from creating a safety hazard watching standing or even stooping in any stair or walkway.  Even if you have a top row seat you are not permitted to stand behind your seat.  You may sit on the top of your seat back in the top row but you are not allowed to stand behind it because your standing there interferes with the use of the walkway.

Those are their rules and they enforce them for safety reasons and to provide a path for those who need to go take a ...  :)

My first trip down there I bought a ticket of of someone who posts or use to post on here.  I suspect he still reads on here.

He has had 2 tickets next to each other with decent viewing towards turn 4 a little more then half way up, ahead of the flag stand covering 3 days and a pit pass for a long time and is able to renew them at a good price.  The thing is he never sits in the two seats and spends his time in the pits.  I got to use two seats next to each other for myself for three days and it was great.

Last year I saw him trying to unload his extra or second ticket at Charlotte.  If he has the two tickets for this year and has not sold the extra one and you want to go, you'd do yourself well posting on here for him to message or email you if he has not sold his extra ticket.  Sorry I'm old and don't remember names well and my messages to him on here are gone or I'd let you know who to get a hold of.

I missed out on getting his extra ticket one year and since have been able to expand on the one I got online to get 4 in a row this past year and no longer need to hunt for tickets there each year.

DS, I have since surrendered my extra ticket.  Just got tired of throwing it away.

As far as seating, as stated a few posts up, Thursday is pretty much wide open.  Friday is so-so.  Saturday you"ll be hard pressed to find an empty seat. I have never had a problem standing at the very top. Its an awesome view.  Can't wait to get there.  I missed the first year, and wont miss another one.

Max Blair won his heat race last night while Mike Pegher, Jr. was second, so both should have good starting spots for the feature tonight!!  Overall there are around a dozen drivers from our area on hand in at least three classes. The Taylor brothers had pretty good finishes in their E-Mod heats as well.  GOOD LUCK TO ALL "OUR"  GUYS TONIGHT!!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Now that's a case of a big national star "cherry picking" by running a crate engine car for big paying race!!!   That is not what the crate engine cars were supposed to be about.  Maybe the World Racing Group officials at Charlotte should consider a rule requiring a driver in this race to have run a certain number of races in the crate engine cars to be eligible!!   Blair and Pegher would both qualify even though they also race "super" Lates!!

GOOD RACING!!!!

You see this happening all the time Walt. Even the top 410 sprint car drivers will drop down and win the big 360 races.

yea gotta agree. I understand JD is a hired driver, he probably gets 40 to 50% of the nights winnings. He sure as heck isn't going to turn down easy pickens. I would consider him a professional driver, you want to enter a driver of his caliber, not a problem but we have a spot in the back reserved for you. Sure he will probably still win but the fans could at least watch him drive the wheels off it coming thru the field. In my opinion JD  is one heck of a driver. Hope all the talk about what car he will be in next year brings him back on the lucas tour.
