Think it's stupid... If a team wants to take a damaged car behind the wall for 50 laps, and come back out, why not?? NASCAR has minimum speed/lap times required, so that rules out really slow moving obstacles on track.
.. Inspectors look for loose stuff before the car leaves the pit, and even if that car causes a "debris caution", NASCAR throws them half the time for no reason anyway...

I agree...it's really the beginning of the reason Kenseth lost a bid for the championship...I know they had too many over the wall, but if it would not have been for that stupid rule, they maybe would not have been in such a big rush to do things. The guy handed a sawzall to another guy and then headed back for the wall...the more rules NASCAR comes up with the more fans they are going to lose. I like Kyle Petty, he says it like it is.

Too many silly rules. Every year it's something different. JMO but back in 2010 when gas went above $3 per gallon people cut back traveling to races. And I mean all races. When people found out they could save all that money going to races they can watch on TV they stayed home and still stay home. Look at the stands in any NASCAR race.

I disagree. I think people are tired of every other word coming from people's mouths are. Aero push or clean air and all the crap that goes with it. All of your top racing series today, F-1, Indy and yes nascrap. These cars are all being won by the teams that have the best engineers. Sure the driver plays a role, his role is don't do anything stupid and we can be there for the win. It's the same with the guys on pit road. Nascrap, now has the same problem as the other 2 top series. Big money owners rule the sport and make all the calls. They would rather race against 20 cars than 40. F-1, you will never see a smaller team win, and those smaller teams are spending millions and milions of dollars. Indy, hell at one time it was the car owners that owned the sanctioning body, they put there money into it because the seats were empty. Guess what, nascrap now has those same owners and they've convienately ruined the sport. Instead of showing truck racing with zero fans in attendance, they need to get them off the big tracks and on to the saturday night bullrings. The xfinity series is not far behind, the cup drivers jump in and make some of those races boring as hell, I say lose the front splitters aand give them a 2" spoiler out back. Then you would see driving and passing, but then again the big owners would have to race 40 cars and they sure as hell don't want that. The neetworks need to dump them all and go PPV. Maybe after they see nobody is paying to watch anymore they mite wake up.

I remember the day when you could realistically put together a car and try to qualify for Daytona...Ferd Wallace and Dick DeLisle actually took a car to Daytona and attempted to qualify...now because of all the money, as mentioned above the owners calling the shots, and ((frown)) the charters, you will never see anything like that again...I'm not sure what NASCAR wants, but it obviously is not people in the stands, or good racing on the track...Oh yes all the cookie cutter 1.5 mile tracks don't help anything either...
