Well, 2017 is pretty much in the record books and I was just wondering what some thought and what do you think we'll see in 2018.

For 2018 I have a few comments.

#1. Lets all hope somebody comes in and gets Mercer back on the right track. I feel his asking price is way out there, so hopefully thru talks somebody can work a deal out that all parties can live with.

#2. Shawn Hooks and the Penn/Ohio series continues to grow. My fear is with this big paying race your going to see owners go nuts and hire drivers that shouldn't be there.

#3. RUSH. Lease Mercer. Vicki you ran the place for years, you understand what it takes. Run your crate series races there, a home track, and throw in some specials, all stars, Big block mods.

#4. PPMS finds a buyer and the bashing of the place will be put to rest with the speedway. 100 people in the stands, some nights 7 SLM, there love for the racing community keeps the gates open.

#5. Lernerville, dump that stupid tire rule. Yes you used to get 20+ late models. those days are gone and your just shooting yourself in the foot with that rule.

#1. The sportsman racing at Lernerville was horrible. Drivers made the same comments, don't lift because you'll never make it back up. All racing is expensive. This new sprint car class, in my opinion, is going to kill 410 racing in western pa. Lose mercer and only 1 track left. Sharon ?

#2. The local teams that followed the all star tour pretty much made it for a full season. What comes next ?

#3. The 1-C was parked a lot this season, I hope it's not the end.

#4. Chubzilla and Boom, come home.

#5. It sucks driving 22 hrs round trip to see real race cars race.

Chub is coming back home. This was his last year on tour.

And dumping the tire rule isnt going to bring back any cars. The other tracks with open tires arent exactly getting big weekly counts either. Theres a special every weekend during the season within a couple hours. They get the cars.

Did read back in the Spring that this was to be Chub's last year on the road.  And I don't think Boom went to Charlotte unless I missed his name in the results.  Chub didn't make the top 20 in either Charlotte race.

GOOD RACING!!

Bloomquist was at Charlotte. He finished second in his Heat and 11 in the finals.

dumping the tire rule will help, as i said we would come. but thunder mountain now has a better surface, and bigger fields........but can run 1100 series?????????????? if the rush sprints are going to ruin 410 racing around here, it means it was already ruined......move over, a better product is coming where more than 4 cars can finish on the lead lap.

I think Bloomquist has to come out next year with some changes. Rocket and Longhorn both, along with others, definitely made improvements and he needs to change something up.

Bloomquist / Sweet are not going to do nothing over the winter months. A lot of people talk about JD and Rumley. Bloomer and sweet will do something.

Bloomer has a rough end to the season, but yeah, the rumors of his demise are greatly exaggerated.

Never said he had to change everything. Coming down to the end of the season Richards and t mac just seemed to have a little more. Bloomquist needs to get to the tracks on time so he isn't fighting a uphill battle from the start. I get there non point shows. But track time is valuable.
