I can't believe it hasn't been brought up yet.  I didn't get a chance to go on Wednesday, any surprises, anyone look really good, any class changes for drivers, any newcomers???

I heard there was only 50 drivers there. And that is a total of every class on dirt that can race.

Ferree was there with his new late model and Gale Ruth was in the Rush wingless car. The track was very dusty and hard to see. Gary Kriess looked good in his sprint as well. I was just happy to see something going around the track. Lernerville also took a lot of banking out of 3 and 4. Not sure why though.

Wow this is the first I've heard about them taking banking out....wonder why?  I saw a pic of Alex's car and it looks sharp.  I saw John Garvin's car and it looks pretty sharp as well.

Hopefully that does not interfere with the racing. Turns three and four or always high banked and would produce some great last lap passing as one guy would be on the high side and the other be on the low side carry momentum to the checkers.

Took a little banking out because when its got tack, its absurdly highside dominant through 3 and 4.

The best racing ever at Lernerville was before the banking was piled up. 6 divisions and the track was as tacky for the last feature as it was for the first feature. Also we were out of there in time to be home for The Tonight Show. Take out all the banking out.

I remember those days getting back home just as David Letterman was starting. All the good old days.

Take out the banking if it isn't an ice rink. The tranverse of taking out banking in 3 & 4 because it's top dominant when it's tacky, will make it bottom dominant when it's slick unless there's a cusion.... pandering to fix one condition will amply another one.

Since there is no running the low groove unless you want to watch all the cars in front of you work the cushion, I think it's a good start.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

What time are they opening practice, if it doesn't rain?
