Anybody going? Thoughts on who will be up front. Jeff Rine is pretty tough to beat and Yoder has been very good out there so far this year. Ferree has had good runs out East so far as did Lux when he went to Port. Just saw the video of his battle with Markham at Wayne County which was a pretty good one.

Jeff Rine is not nearly as tough at Port Royal when he doesn't start up front.  Alex Ferree looked very good the night I was there (when the Late Models ran with the All-Star Sprints).  Although Port Royal is a very nice facility, later in the evening when some of the moisture disappears,  it's not so easy to pass in the Late Model division.

i think they do have a series rule as far as compound. Ferree was supposed to be at thunder mountain last night and i assumed he'd follow the swing but apparently not. Maybe too big of a chance of getting rained out. At least that's what Miley had on FB for not making the trip. I didn't know if Lux would go, just stating he did okay in his prior appearance there this season. Covert won, Rine 2nd, Maresca 3rd, and Blair 4th

When you have a series that is fair to all competitors, has a decent pay out, and runs things smoothly, you will get a full field of quality cars. The full stands is an extra. Keep up the good work Chris!

The tech guys need to do their jobs a little better.. Why measure deck height if your gonna let guys go that are 2" over the stick.. Also the rule book states to be measured on the left rear.. They were measuring in the middle.. Better get it under control now..

Do they still measure the middle when measuring to enforce the droop rule?

I realize the rule states LR will be measured for deck height. Leading up to our opener several teams discussed measuring at the middle of the TBar instead as we are all aware when these cars roll forward the LR does climb some. I didnt change the website (my fault), but we checked all cars in the middle

As for the car that was supposedly 2" over the stick, what I been informed he made the swing (turn by Lupfer pit) and as we all know when you turn the car left, the LR will pop up.

Each car was check pre race, before entering the track before Qualifying, heats, bmains and the main event.

I do like to hear any constructive criticism as this series has been around now for our 18th season. We dont get better by learning, listening to good advice.
