I have a 604 crate, 2900lb stock car.  Any suggestions on gear ratios for these tracks?  Trying to keep it under 7000rpm

Thunder Mountain and Marion Center I think you would do well with a 6.83 or a set of 700's if you run taller tires.

May be a bit much for thunder mountain. Been a while since we ran a 358 in a stock car, but I was thinking we ran 6.66. Like I said, its been a while though. We ran 7.00 at the bird and we definitely didnt run the same gear at both tracks.

Marion center 6.20 or 6.33. Ive ran both there and won heat races and features with a 604 crate engine and car weighing 2950.

me thinks you will be turning about 12000 rpm if you run that gear at thunder mountain..

Wayne McDonald....I turn 6500 at Hummingbird with 6.50's and 6800 at Thunder Mountain with the same gear, but I run a 406 with 600hp hooked up.  Father in law runs a 377 with a 6.83 gear there.  Turns 8k. This fella is talking about a 604 crate with 400hp.  Better put the gear to it!

I ran my 6.14 at thunder mountain and it wasnt enough 6.33 would be good, ran 6.50 at Marion center and Mercer and turned it harder then you want but probably have to to run good. 5.43 at ppms I dont really see you needing more then a 6.50 anywhere I have been
