Historical Notes of the Ed Laboon Memorial:
Only Bob Schwartzmiller has qualified for all 6 ELMs.
Rusty Martz and Wayne Carbo lead drivers with 4 top 5 finishes each in ELMs.
Martz has two wins, and is the only repeat winner of the ELM. Carbo has yet to win.
Jeff Broniszewski, Nick Kocuba, and Randy Wyant are the only other drivers to make the race 5 times.
80 drivers have made at least one ELM.
The most entries for an ELM was 58 in 2016.

Storylines leading up to 2018 Ed Laboon Memorial
Long time S&S Chassis builder Chris Schneider has yet to win the ELM. Chris has won nearly every big Pro Stock race in the tri state area.
Likewise, 2017 Penn Ohio Champion and Slider Chassis builder Bobby Whitling has yet to win the ELM. His best finish was 5th in 2013.
Two time defending PPMS Pro Stock Champion Dave McManus is also due for a win. Daves best finish was 16th in 2015.
Can Lernerville Champion Corey McPherson be the first Crate powered Pro Stock to win the ELM? Corey has been fast at PPMS, with a 2nd place finish in 2015.
Newcomer Andrew Gordon swept the Penn Ohio Series' Applefest weekend at Sharon Speedway and Tri City Raceway at the end of 2017. Can he win the ELM at his first appearance?
Can Rusty Martz win back to back ELMs and also become the only three time (let alone two time) ?
2018 is the highest paying Dobs NQ Race to date at $717 to win and $100 to start.
