Are they going to open this Saturday or not?? or open at all for 2018?/ I haven't seen any official post as of yet. Lots of speculation.

The official word that I got from Jim Eisleman is that they are not opening this year due to ongoing Health issues. There are parties interested in Leasing the track but nothing official.
On a side note, the rumor mill around Hidden Valley/Gamblers/Amp has begun again. Speculation that someone either bought the track or is interested in buying it.

Pretty piss poor way to run a business if you cant update your website/facebook page to make it official if their not opening.

Called Marion Center's phone number, the woman who answered said no racing tomorrow, possibly racing after July 1 depending on health.

They haven't informed the racer and fans. Any of the info about this has been posted by other people and tracks. There's no reason they couldn't post something on their site and Facebook page.
Maybe there is. Family health problems can take every second of your time, to the point that sleep gets squeezed in when you can't fight it any longer. I'm sorry to tell some of you people this but the world doesn't revolve around any of us. While I'm sorry to see another track in limbo, I will not begrudge them for putting the proper first things first and a bunch of whiny race fans on the proper lower point of the priority list.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Mbrllc.... someone just mentioned, chevy 1a, that he did call the track number and was told. No racing. What more can anyone ask for ? You want details on there personal issues too ! Geeez.
Until the 21st century, calling the track was the only option. MCS has a website and social media accounts where they make announcements, such as schedules and cancellations. You don't understand why anyone would expect to be able to find out if a track is racing by some communication other than telephone? You act like people as requesting to see medical charts. If they posted something like, "We are closed until further notice. Please respect our family's privacy regarding this decision," it could have eliminated the weekly questions about the racing status.

I say this with respect for those who have never been through a family health crisis, and with the utmost desire that you never have to fully understand. A health crisis in the family can take on proportions for the other family members that they wake up, start making phone calls and running to appointments, and don't stop until all of the places they have to be and call are closed. They may wonder why they are so hungry at 6:00PM to find the lunch that they thought they ate still in the microwave, or the McDonalds bag still full of the food they thought they ate, or worse, may not have even had the time to notice they were hungry in the first place. If you are in the middle of such a crisis you go to bed with tomorrow's appointments on your mind, if you even actually go to a bed at all. Maybe you fall asleep for a couple hours in a chair, or maybe you doze off for a few minutes at a time.
A website, under those circumstances doesn't even enter one's mind.

As one whose family is currently going through such a health crisis, I couldn't agree with you more.
