I saw something recently in social media that got me thinking.....

Would implementing some sort of gambling system in racing help bring money to tracks?  The track could generate revenue from acting as "the house" and it would bring people in the front gate who wanted to have skin in the game.

How is this any different than the MASS gambling the goes on with horse racing?

Sure, this might open up a can of worms with all sorts of problems included sandbagging, rigging races, who knows what else.....

I don't have any clue regarding the legalities of it all so it probably isn't even possible but it sure is an interesting thought eh?

Casino's can now apply for sports betting licenses but it's tacked on top of a slot machine license so a dirt track isn't able to do so atp unless they have a pre existing gambling license.
