Thanks Vince, Penn Ohio and PPMS for putting this race together. Another great job. I have to say Davey Lee put on a show, spun in turn 1 came from last to second, did it high and wide, and again in the Feature 23 to 10, not to shabby. Congats to Chris the man was like a rocket. And to all the racers for their support for this race.

Flash Someone above said it but racestud addicts thank you a million
The Ed Laboon that Vince hatched is truly a premier race
Matt Miley had very pleasant words for this series we love you guys as you are like the guys that started latemodels years ago your it ! And he also printed racing magazines featuring the Ed Laboon race !
He also talked about promoting the track and Penn Ohio as partners in promoting Racing!! ( he didnt mention that the track may be sold this winter during this he offseason ! )
Thanks D !!!
The dead mans bolts groove can really make that little 350 scream !!
The slick track has no respect for NASCAR Technology and 1/4 million dollar haulers ...
Congratulations to Chris Schneider because he is the king and showed it again ( I was cheering for the kid in 45)
Carbo is a sandbagger ! Im a big fan lol and he went home with a dam nice check !!
For a driver this event seems like the supe bowl
Thank you Vince

I see your "lol" to indicate that you're not serious, but I did notice when it was posted that the NQ race paid better than 3rd place for the feature, and 2nd paid what 5th or 6th did in the feature.  To not make a race that starts 28 cars and get paid like that...I don't know.  Good for the guys who got paid, though.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Scruffy- you're right and that's something I took into account.  There were only 3 spots out of possible 28 that paid more than the start money in the A main.  My logic was 1) if you can finish top 3 out of 15+ cars you deserve it, and 2) some guys just had bad luck (Jeff B was bad fast and broke leading his heat running away) so I felt they deserve a chance at some decent money.  I think it helps keep cars coming if they know worst case they have a shot to run for $717 to win and $100 to start.  But you're right this is something I look at closely each year.

The Laboon race always draws a great car count. This year was no exception. The racing was very good as always. Anybody that doesn't think that Stock cars can draw a crowd, particularly the Penn- Ohio Series obviously didn't attend this event.

Thanks all. We had 52 cars and could have had 5-6 more but a couple guys were traveling and a few other just couldnt get their cars done in time. I think in this day and age anytime you can consistently get 50 cars that says a lot about the series and the event itself. It was also one of if not the best crowds I can remember for the ELM as well. Hopefully both continue.
