Surprisingly this was posted on 4m and not here, so I checked their Facebook and it is true. Merle Black is the new promoter and they are going to run Sundays. Steel Block Late Models, 305 sprints, small block modifieds, strictly stocks, and 270 micros. Starting the 29th.

I am sure people will complain about no super lates and Sundays but I will say its something different. Why compete and do what every other track in that area is doing? Definitely giving the classes that dont really have a weekly spot a place to go. Curious to see what small block mods are still around. The guys who ran Mercer really havent turned up much. With it being mid season this may be the way to go.

People on their Facebook page are already crapping over it. No four cylinders. No pure stocks. At first they never stated they would have super late models and you wouldve thought the world was going to end. They cant possibly run 8 divisions to make everyone happy. Especially running on a Sunday afternoon.

The fact that theyre putting this much effort into keeping the track going is a blessing. And I wish the new owners and promoters the very best. I hope the fans will appreciate what theyre doing to keep the track not only running, but to eventually make it successful.

Thought I seen they were running pro stocks? Altho that's a vague term. Be nice if they ran penn ohio rules.

Merle is the long time car owner for Lonnie Rigs in the 358 mods for those that are unaware

Surprised to see that the staple of this track was not included. But it is what it is. I wish them the best of luck on such a short notice.

According to the info Merle gave me, it is "Strictly Stocks".  Not sure how much of a difference there is between Strictly Stocks and Pure Stocks, but probably only matters to those racing that type of car.  Won't make any difference to the fans coming through the gates!!

GOOD RACING!!!

Has anyone seen any payout information for the classes? IMO, for trying to reopen a facility at this time of the year the informational flow has been somewhat limited. Any information would be appreciated.
