I know that over at Alleghany Memorial Speedway that is run by one of the legendary Layfields they have the clone class that uses the Harbor Freight engines that are supposed to be an alternative to the much more expensive Honda engines. Those boys [ and a few girls ] run those babies hammer down and don't seem to have many problems. A lot of big men race them and don't blow them up. They usually start with 1 pull as well. It is hard to beat a Koehler though. I've had plenty of experience with Wheel Horse tractors that run for decades. I have one of the last lawn tractors that Toro made before they went to all zero turn. It has the 22 horse v-twin. It is a running bear. I mow about 6 acres on the hottest days without any problems and in the spring on a cold day when I am anxious to get it going it starts right up. The most it ever rolled over was 5 times before running for the first time in a year.

DaveyLee 2 my neighbor put one on his John Deere skid loader he has been very happy with it it seems to have a lot of power the only thing he had to do was in the skid loader it was in a confined space so he added a 12 volt dc cage fan and it kept it cool after that.

Thanks for info
No joe but if there are a couple wrecked ones I may take the motors out !
And race
That is how Tim Shaffer ran his go cart track with the Clone motors that were 100 bucks from harbor freight
But ya guys cheated on those too I hear lol
Found a good rebuild kit for mine mayb she will last a few more years
Its a 54 deck mower as I have allot of grass
Dont want to buy a new tractor !
Thanks!
