what shame... bad enough they stuck it to these guys with that motor deal. now spend more money on changing the body. weres it STOP. tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

I also give the promotors credit for taking that chance and it has proven successful for both venue's.

Had 17 the last several weeks
I guess that is success if you have 17 cars every week
For a support division
Will it last? Maybe
But I dont think it would work at Pittsburgh just because I know several of the guys they have there and they wouldnt go out and buy a monopoly motor to stay there
Sharon is but 1 hour up the road

I would just like to know the reason for learnerville doing this. Most of the cars had late model style noses so why would you shoot your own guys? we are just getting started in racing and already seeing the vast amount of money it takes to put a competive penn ohio car togeather so for the promotors of the tracks to not get on the same page with the rules is just dumb and will hurt car counts and racers.

For instance, I think thats one of the hindering factors for nascar today... as a kid Id watch a race then see a car that looks like what I just saw race pass me in the street... a Monte Carlo or Thunderbird... today... the facade is too disconnected
I get safety and performance of a stock chassis... but Id love to see it required to have a full manufacture steel body wrapping that chassis... so the junk yards are full of them... would bring some creativity back to the garage as guys have to fit the bodies on the chassis and will allow some kid to dream at the track and as he passes the same car on the street of racing some day!
JMO... too much race product just makes the stock look like a cheap late model...
Not poking anyone here, just sharing thoughts from the stands

You hit the nail on the head
That is exactly what Penn Ohio cars are
Cheap late model
Or a 1980 late model
But even if there were no 1980s metric cars left
The parts are stil 1/4 the price of calling Rocket to fix it when you scrape the wall
And you can use allot of used latemodel parts like transmission and allot of motor parts and aluminum body parts
The 55 car is not a new car !! But he knows how to build them for sure !
Repeat : the winningest penn Ohio car is not a new car !
It has a great builder and driver and its been said by many that these cars are allot harder to drive than a Rocket Latemodel
So
You see real good from up there !

I would like to hear from the racers who race at Lernerville on what they think about the change. Good and Bad.

not sticking up for lernerville but most drivers replace bumpers every year any way the rear just finishes the look. l like the stock car look, we have too many late model looking cars jmo

you guys are stickly talking about the body. look underneath any penn ohio car and belive me there is not late model on them. a late model nose dont make them a late model. Sure from the stands they may look close to a late model but are far from them.
