Latrobe Speedway joins the FASTRAK Racing Series Family for 2019


Officials with the FASTRAK Racing Series have announced that Latrobe Speedway in Latrobe, PA will be FASTRAK sanctioned for their Pro Late Model class in 2019. The track will be operated by Dennis Bates. Teams competing in the FASTRAK Pro Late Model class will be eligible for the 2019 FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship as well as a FASTRAK Divisional Championship.


"We are pleased that the FASTRAK Racing Series has agreed to sanction our Crate Late Model Division, now known as the FASTRAK Pro Late Models,” said Latrobe Speedway promoter, Dennis Bates. “Our FASTRAK Pro Late Model competitors are extremely excited to be a part of the FASTRAK Racing Series and we look forward to great racing in 2019.”


All FASTRAK members receive $100,000 of participant accident medical insurance through Mutual of Omaha, as part of their membership. Any FASTRAK team who buys a complete set of the AFCO Crate Spec Shock Series will have a one-time 10% discount on other products from AFCO.


Furthermore, FASTRAK members who compete in a minimum of ten FASTRAK sanctioned events will be eligible for the newly formatted members only FASTRAK World Challenge which will be held at Beckley Motorsports Park.


Latrobe Speedway is a ½-mile semi-banked clay oval located behind the Latrobe Airport on SR 981, .9 miles South on Route 30.

The speedway will compete on Saturday nights under the "Flying 5" banner, as we will have five divisions in action on Saturdays. More information will be available once the schedule is finalized.

Can Rush crates race there weekly or part time without making changes to their cars??   Say cars from PPMS or Dog Hollow??

Have to run different tires, I know that for sure.  Not sure on some other stuff.  I think Fastrak requires a firebottle, but rush doesn't?  But I think just about everything else is the same.  You can run rush seals with fastrak, but can't run fastrak seals with rush.

There are different tires. FASTRAK uses the FT 200/400. A waiver can be signed for the fire bottle.

Stock stroker. Why ? Teams will have a choice and garbage won't be jammed down the racers pocket. You do have a opinion, everyone does, but is having a choice a bad thing ? I don't believe so. JMO.

Low car counts due to competitors unwilling to or unable to buy different tires and any other proprietary rules FT has compared to RUSH.
If they are set up for RUSH it will be tough on some teams.
Nothing against FT, just economics.

Wouldn't it be great for the racer and the fans if the orgs (Fast Track and Rush) and the tracks could better align on rules so that the strongest org and strongest tracks would clearly benefit in car counts and fans.  Ultimately this approach would put competitive business pressure on all orgs and tracks to be the best they could be (there are some that just shouldn't be in business and should move on with their lifes work) and ultimately make it better for all fans and competitors.....It seems everyone likes to hide behind a specific rule or 2 (Tires, Bolts, Make of tow vehicle....lol....) which keeps them from ultimately benefit in car counts and fans if they truely are the best from an fans perspective and a race car owners perspective..........

Crate racing was started by Stan Lester and Fastrak way back
Rush is closer to this region and we all know who and has the benefit of being 700 miles north of fastrack headquarters and well established in this area
However its plain to see who created crate racing for the racer and who created their own copy of it to benefit the pocket book of one small circle of people
Else they would allow the centerpiece of the claimer prototype series ( The Motor) to travel between the two series
But the opposite is true and centered about making a mountain of money with the slogan saving racers money

The proof and exclamation point to it is that it took a STOCK CAR race that pays 5 times more than any Rush Crate race ever payed to finally stArt Puting some money Back to the racer
Im sure they saw the writing on the wall of people like Allen Dellinger going back to a Stock car to win Real money With a car that cost less race ready
Than the Chasis in their Rush Car

They are getting antsy and trying to stay ahead of the curve by paying the 10 grand race
Who needs a rocket with a monopoly motor that costs 3 times the price to maintain when you can race a1983 Monte Carlo with a prototype body for the same prize money

As usual your rants are not based on facts. Rush has had a $6,000 and $5,000 to win show. That stock car race at Sharon paid what $10,000? So you saying it was 5 times more then any Rush race just shows how ignorant you are to the facts.

It took a Stock car race that pays almost double !
I am all for competition and thats what it took for 30 thousand dollar cars to pay as much as 15thousAnd dollar cars
Whats that mean 94?
The entry fee was 100 bucks
And there were 90 cars
The entry fee is 100 bucks for this year 10k race
How much is the entry fee for Rush race ?

when and where ?

 I say Crates are a truck motor that costs double their  value

And a Stock car  race was  10,000 to win a year BEFORE a 30,000 dollar prototype chasis class was  .( in this region  and sanction that is ).

 How many Crates were at the 6k race and what was the entry fee?

Rush and Fastrack both have high entry fee's at there higher dollar races. Both organizations pay out a hefty sum in contingency dollars. They both boast mightily, as they should, on what they have to offer.

My beef has always been, and always will be, the teams with the biggest budget will come out in front the majority of the time. I see guys pulling in with stackers, new xr-1's and longhorns. They buy 3 motors and the first place they go is on a dyno to see which one has a little more so it can go get blueprinted. The shocks, which fastrack is trying to get under control, and on and on. Then you get a team owner that brings in JD to watch him destroy the competition.

To me, the promotors around the country are responsible for classes getting out of control. They screwed shit up so bad classes around the country will never be what they where. Spend 100k and you to can have the best shit out there. I hope Shawn from penn Ohio let's his series grow only to be ever watchful on the one series that wants total domination of ALL.

I thought you had had a hard on for RUSH, now you are saying Fastrak is the same! As for your comment about stackers new cars etc, better tell Davey Pee Pee that the same sh*t happens in his precious Penn Ohio series. Andrew Gordon rolls in with a stacker, unlimited technology and to win what $1000 or $2000 races. If a guy has that much disposable income, maybe he should be running in a higher division.
