AFCO CRATE SPEC SHOCK BENEFITS 

As this is a new program for FASTRAK, we wanted to go through this again to make sure everyone understood the benefits to minimize any confusion.  

Price: $186.99 

Valvings: 6 total   4 standard shocks plus a RR and a RF option 

Rebuilds: Must go back to AFCO to be rebuilt, repaired. Rebuilds $50   New shaft $25 

SHOCKS DO HAVE SEALING BOLTS. Plus other means to let us know if they have been into or not.  

AFCO engineers to be at most Touring races and the World Championship to verify they have not been tampered with.

Up to 40 inch deck height 

$50,000 to win World Championship Provisional ($2050) for teams from the tour. 

* Must be a member and have run 75% of the races as per rule book to be eligible for provisional.

  Now your allowing up to 40" of deck height?  That's beyond getting absurd!

This is just a novice question.....but what are the absurdities of a 40 inch deck height ?

It would seem to me that in a sport where spending tons of money to gain speed is killing competition and sidelining many cars and closing doors at race shops that gaining grip in this manner is about as cheap as it gets......and if you're watching late models or unlimited e-mods air is a more important these days than ever before ........doing anything to get forward grip or more importantly side bite make cars handle better and isn't that the point...... with limited shock adjustment with these valveings 2 inches of deck height might just make them equal ........and the shock price saving and no cost deck height adjustment might fit the bill for some race programs.....just my opinion as always....

Weight is also so cheap that it drives those official sellers of mandated parts straight to the phone to call and cry !!

Aero is ruining DLM racing. If your allowing an even higher deck it only makes it worse.  Just go back to the wedge.....

Also that 50lb weight break is meaningless. That was proven with the RUSH Bilstein incentives.

Air means everything anymore. Bodies are 1 of the cheapest parts on a car. I don't see why the majority keep complaining about bodies. Myself I think today's LM and modified bodies look really good. The expensive crap is what's under that sheet metal.

I don't think anyone is questioning how the cars look. The problem is the the cars are to aero dependent. They're to long and they're to wide.   You can get to a car or close but you can't pass. It's more noticeable at different tracks and in certain conditions.

But weight is even used in the Kentucky derby
Where everyone has a 1 house power motor !
And j2000 was track champ with those Bilsteins
So your comment sounds way off to me so please explain

 aero is the cheapest thing you can do to a car......sheets of aluminum are cheap compared to the latest go fast hard parts.....and air is free.....

_{Pricing of these shocks is very deceptive. Once all the hardware is purchased to use the shock, that is not included with it the cost is no longer as cheap as it appears. For the same money you can buy a freshened set of Ohlins, Integra, Or Penske shocks.}
