Latrobe announced their purse structure, the entire purse is posted on their website. $750 to win crates, 600 to win E-mods, 500 to win pro stock and 300 to win pure stock, 250 to win 4 cylinder.

Roaring Knob posted on their facebook they are no longer going to race on Saturday's. Instead they will be running Friday Nights with Crate Late, Steel Block Lates,  Hot Mods (Tyler County Rules or Crates) chargers, 4 cylinders.. Then every other Sunday with Super Lates, E-Mods, Hot Mods, and 4 cylinders. I am sure they will never post any results.

For anyone not on facebook.

Roaring Knob has been a problem for me with my Cavalcade Points for the past few years since Dave Kittey and Dixie both quit and the track quit sending out results. And don't even do so on their website. If I can't get results then the drivers running there just don't get any points.  Not their fault, but nothing I and do about it.  Running two different nights will make it just that much harder to keep up with what is going on there!!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

According to the schedule, the Knob is RUSH sanctioned again. Rick Jones must have buried the hatchet with Miss Vicki and Mike. Rick evidently thought the prospects of drawing Crate Lates for a 3rd night of racing on Sunday, weren't too promising, although he might lose a few of the Elkins' FASTRAK cars as a result.

Wasn't they supposed to be Rush last year, and then something was a miss with their insurance coverage?

Latrobe has been posting pics of them putting all new boards on the bleachers. Looks like it is about 3/4 complete. Seems like they are getting a nice amount of volunteers coming out to help.

Rick will more than likely be a Rush Sanctioned track until opening night, just as he strung his racers out last year until opening night then opted out of the sanctioning body when he failed to produce proof of insurance to Rush and the Racers. If he does end up making the decision to be Rush it is not very clear on his reasoning with Latrobe Speedway being in his back yard under the Fastrak Body. The cars racing Fastrak at Latrobe are not going to switch their tires and fuel to race at Roaring Knob.  Along with the small field of cars Roaring Knob currently has it does not seem like this will help increase car counts.

Question about this. A lot of the teams down my way run RUSH at Delaware Int'l, Georgetown  & Potomac but then go run Fastrack at Virginia motor speedway. So does that mean they are running different motors or fuel etc. to do so?

Fastrak uses I believe several of the same official motor people as Rush
But if you choose fastrack series
Your obviously
Blackballed like s Sportsman with a 350 at Lernerville

Though I disagree with what Vicky's doing killing car counts in past normal racing series, I doubt she's dumb enough to obviously blackball and give a hard time to anyone who uses her 'rules' engine in another series.  If anything if the racer does good with her engine in another series it will be a plus for her series being the top crap crate regular car killer series.

Per the rules. A crate motor that comes from GM is exactly like the motor that came off the assembly line in front of the choose one and behind that same motor. Less carb. Where there can be a great difference. Ignition, again there's is a difference on what is offered, how big of a advantage is questionable. Front drive assembly, the stuff that can get you a couple xtra ponies is not cheap.

What I find interesting is if you have enough xtra cash laying around bogus seals can be purchased.

Lightened Crank
Is a legal upgrade
For example
Jo
At 900 bucks they are practical giving them away !
Student
You missed my point
My motor was a 602 that needed rebuilt
We spent just enough to put the 202 valves new springs and put it back together with a used cam
It even still has the vacuums advance Carb
And took the route of the weight break at 2800 lbs for Pittsburgher
Now its not allowed at the Rush only Bolts track
Even adding 200 lbs t the saddle !
