for their first night (in I don't know how long) it was a great time! Track was racey and fast and well lit all around it seemed. They have some bugs to work out, sure, but overall a great experience. Only a matter of time until they start sucking cars from PPMS.

Didn't PMS have 9 or 10 this past Saturday? Most of those guys that go there live right down the road or very close to it. Don't see them driving clear to Latrobe.
Yeah, that's a good point, hard to say. Car counts were similar at both tracks. I know a lot of people don't care for the Miley's and how they conduct business but it is an awesome track. Latrobe's payout is better and if you wreck, you have less of a chance of totaling the car and your season versus PPMS..

Latrobe...if ran correctly will finish off Roaring knob.....PMS.....And Maybe Lerrnerville if they ran Superlatemodels! Hope all goes well for them and they can run a few Super shows to test the Waters. Allways was my Favorite Track!

How would they finish off Lernerville when they run a different night? That is a stretch by any means. But, I think you meant Dog Hollow.
The smart thing to do would be to work with another track or 2 and rotate in the super lates. The super late fields are getting thinned out.

Running past midnight after being closed for so long was not a good move. I live over five miles away and could hear them in my bedroom at 12:30 AM. Personally, I don't mind, but I'm not so sure about other Unity Twp residents. I wish them the best, but it will be hard to compete with Jennerstown giving away free tickets.

I was at PPMS on Saturday and it was shocking how few cars and fans were there..........I can remember when the pits were full and the stands 3/4 full........week after week ........
Where has everyone gone......is racing dying........?? Sure there will always be the die hards who love it but that is a minority not a majority...

realgearhead5y, I can also remember those days. Back then PPMS always had something going like bring in Kyle Petty to meet the fans. The place was fan and racer friendly, that's one reason the pits were full and had a lot of fans. Fast forward just look at the place needs a lot of work and was let go! Started treating the drivers poorly made comments like if you don"t like it here race somewhere else. I"ll still go to PPMS but only special races so I guess I"m in the minority.

Latrobe had a rain delay, that's one reason things ran late.
Too many divisions in western PA. Plus, all of these tracks opening back up at the same time has to be strain too many choices.

BennyK....100% correct!!!! Both are problems Late week no track except for Stateline had more than 13 Late Models!! (No count on Eriez as rained out after a couple of heats. And 7 tracks had 12 or less Street Stocks. PPMS 8 and Hummingbird 7!!
GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!
