And to think we thought 11-13 Late Models at most tracks this week was bad!!!! The track does not send info to the media or keep their website updated, so should we be surprised???

Well wasn't it roaring knob that had no emergency personal at the track ? Maybe the smart ones said enough is enough.

Let's see. You show up and you have no clue what the payout is even. There is no safety crew or ambulance on site. You have a bunch of 13 year old kids driving tow trucks trying to clean up wrecks. They do not advertise or send out results. Yeah that is a great business plan.

Well, and I don't doubt it if things are as sparkler is saying, pull the plug. 8 cars 4 divisions.

How close is Latrobe to Roaring Knob. And do you think the drivers at the Knob would travel to Latrobe to race or would they just hang it up.

An hour and half or so, but I dont see any of the few remaining Knob regulars going to Latrobe.

How close is Latrobe to Roaring Knob. And do you think the drivers at the Knob would travel to Latrobe to race or would they just hang it up.
with the payout latrobe is paying i am sure they would.

We've discussed the emergency personal situation at roaring know for what 2, 3 yrs. No fan is going to pay to watch that laughing stock of a program. I think you'll see more head to latrobe

Probably a quarter of the field, were current or former Knob regulars; Marty Spade, Ryan Newman,Ej Rozak,Both Haugers, Bruce Driestadt, John Over and Russell Baird, among others.

Taking a look at the Knob’s Facebook page and specifically Rick Jones’ response to criticism on there, it is readily apparent to me that the guy deserves whatever shortcomings happen to that track. Just asshole responses to complaints about things like the cleanliness and functioning capabilties of the restrooms to an overall if you don’t like it don’t come and nothing is my fault attitude. I hate to say I hope any track goes out of business but guys like that don’t belong in the sport.

That guy has buried every track he ever ran. Potomac, then Cumberland and now Roaring Knob. When he bought it the place was turning into a success. It's ran like some of the small tracks I have been to in the South. You just see things that shouldn't be. I haven't been back in two years, so can't imagine what its like now. The best is the post on Facebook to spread the work they are racing, but can't update the website and haven't posted a result in I don't know how long.

BennyK........I have been having trouble getting results for my Cavalcade Points from the tracks in recent years. They used to send out results when Dave Kittey and Dixie Phillips worked for the track, but both quit and no more results!! Last year I could at least get the winners when Howie Ballis sent me his weekly photos. But he quit and went to Latrobe, so now it will probably b a case of it a driver runs there he just doesn't get points!!! Unfair to the drivers, but little I can do about such!!!
