They are offering a pretty nice 410 payout, that's comparable to Central PAs purses...4k to win, 1k for 4th, 600 for 10th, 300 to start, $17,875 total.

Great payout not argument with it.

It doesn't change the fact there asking $80 minimum for cars to come in the back gate and put on the show for them.

You have to register with the track even if you only go there one time to race in one special show.

They have to know how to pay you. Did you ask anybody or are you just assuming? Just because the weekly divisions have to pay a fee, doesnt mean special divisions do.

Because we were only scheduled for 6 shows they only charged us $25. Not sure if they'll give the 410 guys a break or not.

If you compare tonight's pay-out to the typical 410 pay-out in the area, I'm sure most drivers wouldn't mind paying the extra $50 more often.

Sharon is off this weekend, Outlaws are in Wisconsin, and the All Stars are in eastern New York. The NRA Sprint Invaders are off this weekend so you might see some of them come in to prepare for the 360 show in August. Plus the advertised purse for the top 10 is twice as much as two of the 410 tracks in Ohio are paying tonight. So instead of trying to hurt the track's car count, load up your truck and bring a group out to watch some dirt track racing.

Hes a miserable old twat who does nothing good for racing. He bitches about every track he goes to in some way and is a detriment for the sport. He should just take up bingo and go away

I'm sure he will be there tonight. Even tho the entry fee has nothing to do with him, he'll be on later tonight bitching about something.

They ought to add a grounds pass fee for the spectators, and triple the concessions charges, too. Registration fee is BS...How soon before the Porta-Johns are pay toilets....I guess this is what to expect when there are more people in the pits than in the stands....

How does that Mercer race compare position by position with the best paying sprint car race of 2019 in western PA excluding the traveling series?

Bald tires left for promoters to get rid of, not picking up checks at the end of night and mandating the promoter to have it in the mail first thing Monday morning, waste oil to get rid of, mounds of trash, lawyer fees from lawsuits you never hear about and year end 1099 filings just to name a few reasons why registration fees exist.
Racers bring on their own problems and then complain about them.

30 sprint cars at a race in western PA.   :D   A tribute race remembering a sprint driver we lost years ago.  The return of his racer to the western PA/eastern OH area.  In the words of a friend who has already seen 18 or so area races already, Brandon ran a really good race. :D   Also nice to see some well deserved good finishes. :D   If it was fifty miles instead of five hundred,  would have been there for sure.   B)

I thought it was a great race Saturday. Nice field of primarily local cars. The fans did pay a premium, but they saw the local sprint cars compete for s good pay check. Brandon Spithaler was amazing especially in traffic. Thanks to Ed Michaels for a great show.

There's truth to that. I still remember the social media whine fest when Missy Gardina owned Blanket Hill. You could tell just by watching her that it was a labor of love. She worked the car shows that year and everything. She was also bleeding money into the place and didn't have it to burn. She had to drop tow money, for a microsprint track, and you'd have thought she insulted these guys' mothers. So, less than a month after she worked so hard to drum up interest in the facility, she closed it until another promoter could be found, and then it only went 2 seasons.

Then again, I'm the first one to think the purses need to go up at some facilities, but these drivers that are throwing temper tantrums isn't helping that cause at all.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.
