Is there any REAL race car builders?  I used to build the car from a junkyard chassis.  Bend the pipes, weld the roll cage. build the engine  Go racing.  Now you BUY everything.  If the motor is not running good, you send it back to the "engine builder" you don't fix it yourself.  I made money racing.  Raced 3 nights a week.  

 

Andrew Wylie builds his own cars from scratch.  The entire thing,  sans engine.

Now they are going back to Friday's for a few weeks and then to Saturdays... Not sure they even know what's going on at this point

Wow, just wow. I read their Facebook post and it just seems like a mess.

 

I talked to multiple teams that run there over the past few weeks and they have yet to get paid this year 

 

I asked why they keep going back and their reply is "its close for us."  I just don't get it.

 

I hate to see another track close but what is the point to run the place if you can't pay your entertainers?

I know one of the support class teams that has not been paid for four events this year and are DONE GOING! It's absolutely ridiculous to not be paying the teams supporting your efforts. This is not negativity towards a track but the truth.

I hope that dog hollow can survive this. Even if a new promotional team were to come on board, this place has a terrible reputation now. I hope the best for the track, and the drivers that are owed money.

I think it’s really telling that despite all the issues at Latrobe they drew 17 crate cars and Dog Hollow drew 8 or 9 for a special.

This topic is totally interesting to me.

 

I get beat up for complaining about how racers are constantly ripped off more and more a little at a time.

 

It's like being a little bit pregnant.  

 

 

sure us fans have favorites to root for but YOU and me need to support ALL the racers to be able to see a show not just the few shiny stuff up front with a chance to win

See post #27...seems the team I know about is not the only ones fed up and done. With Bedford's Supers being off last night because of the USAC SPRINTS those drivers stayed away as well.

I have to ask is there any fans in the seats ? Counts like that I really don't have the answer but they can't be running for a purse that even buys them a tire. If they even get pd according to many.
