I don't think you can run your rear springs 1 in front of the rear end tube and 1 behind, but you can use a bigger carb. the semi -lates do put on a very good show at bedford

all so you can't run an all tube chassis an it has to weigh 2900 lbs and an all steel motor.....no alum heads.

Bedford Semi-Lates are a street stock anywhere else. Stock frame front to rear. Some replace the front stub with a Camaro stub. We can run tubular upper control arms on the front. All other control arms front and rear must be stock. Rear bushings must be some kind of rubber no spherical bearings. Engine is flat top 350 with stock vortec heads or stock replacement aftermarket vortec castings. Fords can run one of the world heads. Flat pistons, flat tappet cam. 350 cubic inches weigh 3000 lbs. 400 ci weigh 3300. The magic of the class is the carb rule. We are restricted to a gauge legal 4412 2 bbl. This really helps to equalize the cars in this class. Makes for close racing. We would be at least 100 horsepower under a decently designed penn ohio 4 bbl engine because if this carb rule, though.
