Five of the DNFs were involved in crashes, two were DQed for three cautions, and the rest had mechanical difficulties.  There were lots of cautions.

flash I was down in the pits last night and completely missed it but was there some kind of issue between the 39 and 22 in the heat?

Yes, they were banging on each other coming to the checkered in their heat race, and I think Stoica purposefully ran into Johnson as they were leaving the track, or vice versa, not sure.  I saw Smoky talking to them in the pits, not sure why Johnson left early. Johnson really got screwed on the last restart where he had been running a really strong third and would have finished in that position had the caution not come out.

The 39 ran down the entire left side of my car and then in to the back of Reft coming off the track. He claimed we both pinched him off on the last lap and was upset about it.

the one thing Smokey never does in a drivers meeting is let new drivers know that at PMS the speeds are so much faster using the whole track as opposed to running one lane that if a driver is running by himself and someone has a run up high,if the driver passing can't get wheel to wheel before the line narrows..the car in front has no idea they are out there.

that was exactly what happened,I saw him coming hard on the outside of you but he was too far behind for you to know..but he stuck it in there anyway.

wasn't your fault.

I give Mollick a lot of credit...he could have shut the door on Paugh coming out of 2 on any of those restarts but he didn't. Like Danny said, I'm sure Mollick didn't know if Paugh was beside him or not but he always assumed he was and left the door open instead of taking a chance on wrecking them both.

You have some guys on a fast track with little to no experience with the speeds obtained at ppms. 14 cars dnf'd due to a variety of reasons. It could have been worse.

Actually, only 10 cars were in the DNF column.  Four of the cars did not start the race.  But that still is a significant number of cars not to finish.

Thanks for the clarification, Josh.  The guy I was sitting with told me that you had rammed someone, and I told him I'm pretty sure Jimmy Johnson got into the back of someone, but the cars were all so close together leaving the track, it was hard to tell.  Good luck the rest of the season.
