September 13, 2019               FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Sarver, PA)...The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Models and Lernerville Speedway have announced that the "Firecracker 100" will return to the Sarver, Pa. oval in 2020.  The 14th annual edition will take place June 25-27, and for the second straight year will include the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series powered by Pace Performance competing in the "Bill Emig Memorial".  The milestone 30th running of the prestigious event will pay $10,000 to-win once again.

This 2019 edition of the "Bill Emig Memorial" run in conjunction with the "Firecracker 100" attracted a season high 53 cars from seven different states and Ontario, Canada- tying what was previously the third highest car count in Series history.  Max Blair made a late race pass of Ross Robinson to capture the $10,000 race win presented by Hovis Auto & Truck Supply.

"I can't thank Lernerville and the World of Outlaws enough for allowing the RUSH Late Models to once again be part of the renowned ‘Firecracker 100’ event in 2020," expressed RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  "To be able to showcase our RUSH Late Model racers in what is considered to be one the country's premier Super Late Model events in front of such a huge crowd was truly an incredible experience for all of us.  Our racers put on a tremendous show for the fans and we're really looking forward to being part of the event again."

"On a personal note, I honestly can't describe what it means to have the 'Bill Emig Memorial' part of the 'Firecracker' and of course at Lernerville where the inaugural event took place in 1991," added Emig.  "I'm really looking forward to making the 30th edition the most spectacular yet!"

“The RUSH Late Models were a great addition to the ‘Firecracker 100’ weekend,” acknowledged Lernerville promoter Father Tim Tomson.  “They really gave our fans some thrilling action and having them join the ‘Firecracker’ was a tremendous addition.  Last year’s event was one of the most successful ‘Firecrackers’ in the history of the event so we’re excited bring them back for what will be the 30th running of the ‘Bill Emig Memorial’.”

Two events remain on the 2019 Sweeney RUSH Late Model Touring schedule including the "Bill Hendren Memorial" at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway paying a minimum of $4,000 to-win part of the "Pittsburgher" on October 4-5 followed by the "Steel City Stampede" for $2,000 to-win at Lernerville October 18-19.  Jeremy Wonderling has a 13-point lead over Kyle Lukon.
