FASTRAK launches Northeast Tour for 2020

FASTRAK Companies International, LLC has announced a brand-new tour for the 2020 season: the FASTRAK Racing Series Northeast Tour. The FASTRAK Racing Series Northeast will kick off the season at Tyler County Speedway paying $7,000 to win in the 3rd Annual Great American Crate Race. That date along with the Labor Day Weekend doubleheader at Tyler County Speedway will be co-sanctioned with the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance, which is FASTRAK’s Southeast touring division. The tour will have a $5,000 to win points fund for its inaugural season and pay through the top 10 in points. Drivers must be a FASTRAK member, attend 75% of the races, and run Hoosier FT tires at all times to qualify for points or other contingencies. FASTRAK membership is $150 and includes $100,000 of participant accident medical insurance through Mutual of Omaha.

“It is with a lot of excitement we are launching the FASTRAK Northeast,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “Every year we get a lot of drivers and teams asking when FASTRAK was coming back to the area and we feel that this is the right time with a lot of tracks putting their support behind this along with the drivers.”

The FASTRAK Racing Series Northeast tour will then head to Hagerstown Speedway on May 2nd for a $2,000 to win and $250 to start race. Then the series will shift to Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex on May 24th for $2,000 to win. The tour will then have back to back dates at Latrobe Speedway on June 13th and July 25th, with a return to Roaring Knob slated for July 26th. Another stop at Hagerstown is scheduled for August 15th. The current schedule has the tour wrapping up on Labor Day weekend at Tyler County Speedway with a double header during the Hillbilly Hundred on September 5th and 6th. All of these shows will pay $2,000 to win and $250 to start.

FASTRAK Northeast Tour drivers will have their chance at three bonus races on the 2020 slate at Virginia Motor Speedway, all of which pay $3,000 to win and $275 to start. Those events are the King of the Commonwealth on May 30th, The USA 100 on August 1st, and the Prelude to the World Championship on August 22nd. Drivers competing in the races at Virginia Motor Speedway will be able to use their finish to replace a lower finish during the 2020 season.

“FASTRAK is definitely looking forward to returning to the area and look for some excellent competition,” continued Irvine, “There are some very talented drivers there and it will definitely be something the fans will want to see. This is a great schedule with a few more races currently in the works.”

This is kinda interesting.  Nice to see RUSH will have some competition.  Though, there is only one date they overlap, which is very different locations in Virginia and Genesee, so, there may not be a true competition.  Maybe Fastrak made their schedule like that on purpose to not try to divide the field of cars up.

at the time I'm pretty sure Stan had hired them,taught them the ropes..then proceeded to run his business
thinking his loyal employees were doing what they were paid to do.


all the while they were plotting to stab him in the back..pretty cool!

The customer decides who runs the show.  If the racers wouldn't have supported the Rush folks, Fastrak would still be in charge.  I thinks it's great that there are two sanctioning bodies where drivers have a choice, and can make some pretty good money on either tour.  We already have more than enough monopolies in this country.

So basically one started the Organization and hired a few people to run it. They then over through a person who spend all their time energy and money to get this thing going.

Seems legit.

As some of you no I live in hilton head, sc. I still make my way back north for good racing. 2 yrs. ago D J Irvine was looking to add to there staff and I applied.Being retired, I thought I may enjoy traveling around to different speedways to get my dirt fix. I had gone to Screven speedway to meet DJ and Stan Lester. They had me mostly watching and learning what officials do pre race as far as inspecting cars. In waiting for the activities to start I had the chance to talk with Stan about a variety of things. Well it came down to where I was from and I mentioned most of my days at the tracks were in western pa. Well let me tell you, the small talk ended and that was it, end of conversation. I never did understand why ? I had no idea Stan had his hands in racing in the Pittsburgh area and that 2 of his former employees started what is called the compitition. O well my loss.

I think most here understand a free market society and I for one am not against anyone making what profits they can. All I'm saying is that this woman has earned the reputation of someone with less than stellar integrity.

They say "History Repeats Itself"!!!  Way back in 1953, when I was just a kid, Bill France and John Marcum went their separate ways. Marcum had been France's right hand man in the very successful NASCAR weekly racing circuit in the Penn-Ohio area.  But after the 1952 season was over, Marcum left and founder MARC (Later ARCA and now owned by NASCAR)  He took most of the better tracks with him, Heidelberg, Canfield, Butler and others.  The two sanctioning bodies were arch rivals for quite a few years until France and Marcum buried the hatchet and they began having ARCA races at Daytona the week before the Daytona 500.  Not too much different than what happened between FASTRAK and RUSH some years back!!!  I know there are a lot of "Vicki haters" on here, but think about this possibility.  Maybe Stan Lester wasn't paying Vicki and Mike what they were worth for all the success FASTRAK was having here, so they left and started their own sanctioning body!!  I have no inside info on this, but there could well be two sides to the story!!!

There are a lot of Vicki haters on here, and I don't know if they are justified in thinking that about her or not.  Everyone makes that decision for him or herself based on what they know or have been told, I suppose.  I really don't know much about the reputations of Ms. Emig or Mr. Lester, in fact, but there is certainly room for both to prosper, as they seem to be doing.
