Announcement coming soon, the late addition of the CBS Sports Network simulcast has resulted in some finer details needing ironed out.

Watching the WoO Late models tonight at Volunteer and Rick announced that Saturday final was 50 laps. He either mispoke or they lowered the amount of laps to fit it into the CBS sports time slot. Checked the press and onto see it referred to as the Firecracker and nothing mentioning length. I know the teams arent in love with 100 lap events any more but think it needs to be more than 50 laps.

So the fire cracker is officially 50 laps and they eliminated the Uncle Sam 30 race. This will hurt the car count even more with the locals not even running the show now.

Stick a fork in it.  Maybe rename it the RASH-Cracker.  Perhaps even having the word cracker in it is going to now be offensive to people.

Are you really a moron or does it just come naturally? You have no clue what you're talking about. Lay off the drugs. The race is being broadcast live at 9 pm on Cbs Sports Network. That is the reason why the race has been cut to 50 laps. So if you're going to cry at least know what you're talking about.

Yea, screw the fans. LIVE TV takes center stage. 50 laps and the purse is the same. Drivers and team owner's will not be complaining one bit. Dropping the Uncle Sam ? O well.

With the Lucas series being in Tennessee/Alabama this weekend, theres going to be about 8-12 cars that dont make the A Main so there really wont be a need for the Uncle Sam this year anyway.

Hope Overton shows up.

Who wants an autograph?

Rush has a non qualifiers race at every single one of their shows, so not sure what your point is.

I realize its early, however it's never to early to try and figure out a possible wash out of other Saturday and the make up date on Sunday. There's an 80% chance of rain Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday. Is there any chance of them moving up the time of Fridays events in order to squeeze in the features on Friday night? Just something to think about. Seems like we go thru this weather dilemma every year anymore.

How many more late model drivers will sign in today? How many crates are we expecting?
