Would like to thank Mr Black for working hard to see this show a success. Youre a gentleman and a racer... best to you and the future of Tri City!

Also, was AWESOME to see that many mods on the track at one time... WOW!!! Ground pounding and could feel the big blocks in your chest!!!! Jim Ramsey, one heck of a win!!! Well earned and fantastic driving show.

It was a great night, except for one thing, the lights. Fix the damn lights. That could have tragic consequences

The track was idle for how long, and only part time before that? They admitted that there would be bugs in the system. I'm sure that the lights will get the rework they need in the offseason, They're understandably patched together right now. I'm willing to give this track a pass on things this year. They are working through problems they didn't know they had until they went racing. It's a good track, with a good program, and a promoter with his heart invested, you can tell.

Let's not turn him into Bill Altman at the end, or the Mileys if we can help it.

Well if not wanting my friends to get hurt due to negligence makes me not a race fan, so be it. You notice I didnt say a word about it until it happened for the 3rd week in a row and 4th time this season. Theres been plenty of opportunity to address it and it still hasnt. This isnt something minor like a shitter not working or a speaker not working. Thats an extremely dangerous situation thats being pushed off. I want this track to be a success. I want Applefest to be a success. You dont think those NY cars are going back to their buddies and telling them the lights went out 3 times during the modified feature? Do you think that makes it appealing to race there? To act like its just a blip is fn insane

Well I'm sure it must have been frustrating to all that had a hand in trying to fix the problems. I don't think anyone enjoyed seeing the lights go out.

Hot Dog does raise a pretty good point.  No one wants to see the place fail, always been a track I've enjoyed very much, but this is a problem that does need to be remedied.  I don't think people should be criticized for constructive criticism.  I would agree that there is way too much unnecessary criticism on this board and most other boards, but his post clearly doesn't fall under that category.

I responded to FanJim24. He seems to understand that this is a first year operation and that blasting a track on a message board, twitter, or Facebook is not doing them any favors. Mercer a couple of years ago is a prime example of what happens in that situation. Minor constructive criticism starts the ball rolling until you have a full out avalanche. This board is very good at full out avalanches. With that said, I believe that the owner will get the problem straightened out. To insinuate that they are pushing the issue off and aren't trying to fix it is rediculous.

I agree with this guy, whats worse, criticism, or someone getting hurt? I get moneys tight all over, but ive seen other tracks push stuff off til "next year', and usually doesnt end well.

And the snowball begins! How the hell does he know what has been done to try and fix it? He said and I repeat he said it was being pushed off. These owners are racers. Do you really think that they want people to get hurt? They aren't a corporate track. They work up there 7 days a week. They are trying to make racing better for both fans and drivers. If you can't see that Tricity is a better place now than it has been in years, you have your own issues.

How is it any different than if a driver showed up with a harness that wasnt functioning properly and said I tried to fix it but just didnt have the time or money.? That guy gets told he shouldnt race until its fixed. The same should go for the lights at a race track. You have guys going 100+ mph into a corner and the lights go out. Once is and accident. Twice I can buy that you thought you had it fixed but wasnt. 3 weeks in a row is neglecting the safety of others. I have been nothing but complimentary to Merle and crew, I love Tri City and feel they are doing a lot of good. They are screwing the pooch with the lights going out every week. Go ahead and get offended, I refuse to apologize for being concerned about my friends safety. There were a lot of new cars in the pits last night and that was a bad first impression. You never get that back

So tell me then what good are you accomplishing for the sport of racing by bashing a first year track on a message board? What does it accomplish for you that sending a message to the track would not? You say you are very supportive but it does not seem that way to me.

Nobody is bashing anything you dope. Theres a difference between justified criticisms and unwarranted bashing, which you clearly arent intelligent enough to distinguish the difference between. Im not going to apologize for saying they need to fix the lights but you do have my sympathy going through life with your mental disability. It must be difficult for you, but take solace in the fact its more difficult for those of us dealing with you.

First, I wasn't calling anyone in this discussion, "not a race fan." I was voicing my view on it. Lighting is important, but the lights need a full rework. I doubt that can be done properly between shows, so they patch em up and hope they hold. If they drop the green on 2021 in the dark I'll be on your side.

Speed Buggy, I can be one the worst "bashers" here. I didn't have a kind word for the crate stocks at Lernerville. Im not saying me making a bunch of noise about it did anything, but something made them change the rules back, and it didn't take long for the racing to get better.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Funny, I don't hear as much criticism of the yellow flag demo derby that's becoming a fixture at Lernerville, or the sprint car blatantly sending another driver around in traffic there. That could have ended just as bad as the lighting problems at Tricity. But when it's intentional it's entertaining, I guess.

Simple response to that is, I wasnt there. Im not gonna comment on something just for the sake of commenting. Had I seen it, Id probably have strong opinions on it just like I do anything else.
