This Friday and Saturday will be the annual September Sweeps weekend with over $70,000 in purse money up for grabs. Camping is free, but due to health department restrictions will only be available on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately we can't have any tent camping. We'll start welcoming campers on Friday. Much like years past the SLM will run a complete show both nights. Friday will be the Bob Roher Memorial, $4000, to win race, sponsored by Hess' Garage. The economods will also run a complete show on Friday. All other classes, the crates, street stocks, emods, and challengers will have all their heat races on Friday. On Saturday the SLM will again have a complete show, with a $6000 to win feature. All other classes will run their b mains and features. Economods are welcome to run with emods on feature night. The first place winner from Friday will automatically make Saturday's emod feature, all others will qualify through b mains depending on car counts. Like all year pro mods are always welcome to run with emods.
General admission will be $20 a night for adults and $10 a night for children 6 to 15. Children 5 and under are free. We will not have any senior or family pass for this weekend. No advanced tickets a new ticket must be purchased each night. Gates will open at 4:30 with racing starting at 6:30. We ask that you leave bags and coolers in your cars or campers. We will be checking both and any coolers or bags that are too full to see every thing inside, will not be allowed inside. Reminder we do not permit any glass or alcohol. No child's ticket can be purchased without purchase of an adult ticket and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pit passes can be purchased at the pit gate only and we will not upgrade any general admission passes for pit passes. Pit bands will be $40, a night. Anyone who Wears their pit band back on Saturday will only pay $35 for Saturday's band. We will not accept any passes not worn as applied the night before. Anyone who brings any ripped, or any other way altered band will be charged $40, no exceptions. Pit gates open at 3:30, racing will start at 6:30.
During your weekend stay, we ask that everyone be respectful of our track neighbors. You must stay out of the woods and any 4 wheelers, side by sides, or other such vehicles must be parked a hour after racing ends. No one is permitted on either our big track or kart track. Any dogs brought must remain in your camping or pit area and must be leashed or tied at all times. No dogs or any animals permitted in the grandstands. All campers are responsible for all your trash. It should all be bagged and taken with you. We will be doing two weeks worth of racing in 24 hrs, so garbage pick up in the stands will be our last priority. Make sure to clean up after yourself and extra bags will available at upstairs concession stands.
Like always Eriez never charges an entry fee for drivers. We do ask that if you haven't raced at Eriez this year that you register with myracepass before you arrive. Every one in every class is required to have a working transponder. Both yellow and red work with our system. We will have a limited number available for rent. We will update Facebook with additional information over the week. Hope to see everyone this weekend.
