The NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaw Sprint Cars are at Dirt Track Charlotte tonight, running 30 laps for $12K to win.  There are Forty-six (46) Sprint Cars in the pits ready to roll.  Local racers in the field are George Hobaugh (40) and New Yorker Matt Farnham (7NY) who raced quite often at Lernerville this summer.  Central PA (non WoO regulars) drivers in the field are Anthony Macri (39M), Brent Marks (5), Brock Zearfoss (3Z), and Brent Shearer (12).  Fast qualifier in Flight A was Kerry Madsen (2M) at 12.305 seconds and in Flight B, it was David Gravel at 12.193 seconds.  Track record at Charlotte is 11.880.  Results as follows:

WRG and Charlotte should be very ashamed for that sorry thing they called a track the last four nights.
I've seen 100 lap races in the middle of a 100 degree day in summer that were nowhere near as dusty as those night races in November.
There's absolutely no excuses they can make to justify that mess....

From what I can tell on TV, it is a world class facility, but anytime I've ever watched racing there, the track surface is trash.
