2nd time this has happened to me. The mileage and power dropped off in my Dodge truck, so I remove the air cleaner and discover a squirrel has built a nest in the air cleaner box. Easy fix for me, not so much a homey Thanksgiving for the squirrel.

I've seen that many times on small engine powered equipment stored outdoors. I put a jump box on a Simplicity tractor and it barely turned over. Removed the engine shroud and it was packed full of acorns, grass, paper.....you name it. They are industrious little creatures. My mom complained about the heater/AC fan in her car making strange noises after it sat for two weeks while she was a away. I removed it and it was packed full of insulation. I don't know where the hell they got it from, but there it was.

Happened to me a few years ago. Had some wires chewed up. Got an Under Hood Animal Repeller from WhateverWorks. . Twenty bucks. No problems since.
