Local 604 Crate Late Model racer, Tony White, was able to make the starting field for the first 604 Crate A-Main yesterday at Bristol Motor Speedway.  He finished 22nd out of 27th, looks like four other cars exited at the same time, so there must have been some sort of wreck.  The race was won by NASCAR's Austin Dillon in a car owned and prepared by Cory Hedgecock.  Zachary Kane also made the A-Main today, finishing in 17th spot, and in the third A-Main today, Mike Duritsky finished in 6th place.  Congratulations to all the locals.

Thanks Flash. Got caught up in 2 incidents in the 2 laps of the A that I ran. First lap guy got out of shape as I was passing him and drove straight through my door. Lap 2, a car went into the outside wall in front of me and the only way for me to miss it, was to spin and hope for the best. Unfortunately, a guy running behind me never even tried to slow down and just drove right over my nose and almost flipped himself. And he admitted he never even tried to slow down, so its not just me blaming him lol. I got annoyed by the fact that I was involved in 2 wrecks in 2 laps, and we'd already had several restarts as it was, so I pulled off and said screw it. Car is back together and ready to try again tomorrow. Gonna be a real uphill battle now if we're gonna make Saturdays race. I should be on the outside pole of the first heat tomorrow, beside Cole Custer if he got his car fixed.

I listened live to all of it while in the garage..crash replays looked like he at least had 4 wheels on after most of them,
wandered over to see the final results and they show 4 at a time across the bottom with lap times etc.

couple sets of names go by and it looked like Tony White - 9th!
atta boy..lol wow!

Jacob Jordan had run across the link earlier and we texted back and forth during the action like we were in he stands..
sent..you see that Tony got a top ten!...he said something about givin you an atta boy later this year and that survival was a victory in itself!
we sign off and next day he says..umm think Tony was back around 20th..?
what..?
there were 2 Tony Whites in the race..
what's the odds. lmao :)
nice job anyway but we had you scored higher!

Ya, Anthony White was there also, he's been racing for a long time.  I remember watching him race at Atomic TN in 2003.  We didnt have the greatest weeks, but was great to be there.  Managed to move up a little in the LCQ, but not enough.  Got up to 11th from 14th.  Car was just way too loose.  It was an experience though, thats for sure.  Sort of disappointing that it was run pretty badly by XR, it really took away from what could have been a great event.  So thankful though to say we got to run there, because who knows if itll ever happen again.  Thank for the support guys.

I'd never heard of them before this event either, but the show could have had a lot of improvements as far as how it was run.  There was way too much dragging everything out throughout the week.  The first few days they kept completely redoing the track between each class, which kept the track 1 lane for the most part.  Every time it would start to widen out, they'd go and tear the track up and make it go back to single file.  The only reason they ended up not doing it anymore was because later in the week they got themselves way behind on everything and had to push the show on.  All the classes that were supposed to the run Thursday took the bone because of the rain out.  They easily could have run the Thursday classes earlier on Friday, but instead they just lost out on a full day's worth of racing.  There was just a lot of disorganization, and they didn't seem very open to suggestions or anything of the sort.  But I am very grateful for the chance for this to have happened and gotten to be a part of it.  That's for sure.  Was unlike anything else I've done so far.
