I have absolutely zero to do with the track... Never even been there... Just posting results for people who are looking
I think more people are looking for UFO's then results from a track nobody goes to anymore😥😥😥

Why does everyone hate Roaring Knob? I went Opening Night and I went to their Sunday make up race. The grass was freshly mowed. Concession stand makes all the food fresh Track surface was good even on their day make up race. The atmosphere there was nice rural setting in the mountain. To top its off unlike most race tracks their bathrooms were actually clean. My only complaint was the speakers were very low the first night, but at the second race you could hear well so they must have fixed them. I did some further research I noticed they have a really high weekly payout compared to some of the other tracks in their area I mean the pay the Fastrak Late Models $800 to win weekly. That more than Latrobe and Almost Double than PPMS. I really wish they did not race on Friday nights because its a 2 and a half hour drive for me, but it is worth If you have never been there! I know alot of people on here does not like the promotor but, You dont have to like him to see some good racing!!

Suspect safety equipment, insurance issues, one tow truck, switching race nights all the time, switching sanctions all the time, claiming someone new is the promoter, issues with the lighting system. That's just a few.

PPMS pays $800 to win with more than a 21-car field, which they usually get, less than 21 cars, $700 to win, according to the PPMS website.

Ppms was 700 last I heard. But then again you gotta pay 45 pit pass So it's like the purse was cut in half you're saying
Pit passes on regular nights are $35.

wow..old Stanley Spooner, the man responsible for the worst fire in PPMS history.
way back in the early 80's Jon Hodgekiss dad had a #69 limited late with a guy named Rich Hufnagel driving..running upfront the car broke a rearend in turns 1&2 during the
feature,he coasted along the outside wall waiting while the pack cleared him finally crossing over near the pit entrance.
along comes old Stanley a half lap behind and blasts Rich so hard it turned the rear bumper into a wedge driving it thru the fuel cell splitting it wide open, both cars then spun into the outside wall fully engulfed.
took quite awhile to get the fire knocked down and thank God Hufnagel was able to get the hell out quick,no one there was equipped to go into the flames to get him out..this isn't NHRA with a guy in a silver suit!
anyway was surprised to see the name..lol

How could the 3 of Spooner ever be forgotten, That without a doubt is one person in racing who never improved in the last 40 years of Racing.,.
Flash have you ever been to the knob in recent years? All the lights worked great they had 3 tow trucks and a rollback. I assume the tow trucks are the tracks 2 80's model trucks and a mid 2000's gmc. It appeared both races from what I observed the had fire and ambulance crews there. Im pretty sure they have been fastrak for 4 years and were Rush prior to that. Ive heard the insurance rumors, but all the races there that have questioned it that I talk to when they questioned rick they said he shown the insurance binder in the track office. Im sure Rick Jones is not gods gift to racing, but so what you do not have to like him to like racing. Whether anyone likes him or not hes had the knob for 12ish years so it appears he is not going anywhere.

I never said one thing negative about Roaring Knob in my post. I only responded because of the incorrect information you included in your post.
