For Immediate Release May 22, 2021
Clearfield, Pa - Johnstowns Billy Eash won his second Subway Super Late Model feature of the season Saturday night at Hidden Valley Speedway, while BJ Hudson of Clearfield picked up his second win in the TH Port a John Semi Lates, and Rob Williams of Williamsport grabbed his second win the the Littles Auto Sales Four Cylinders.
Todd English of Clearfield picked up his third straight Hugills Sanitation Small Block Modified win, while newcomer Dylan Cecee of Woodhall, NY picked up his first ever win in The Winters Signs Penn Ohio Street Stocks.
Billy Eash and Luke Hoffner led the Subway Super Late Models to the start with Eash taking the lead and never looking back in the non-stop event. As Eash led, Hoffner was comfortable in second with Derek Rodkey, Josh Jacoby and Josh Whetstone vying for third, but when Brian Biancuzzo waved his double checkered flags, its was Eash getting his second win of the season, with Hoffner second, Jacoby third, Rodkey was fourth and Whetstone was fifth. Eash won the heat.
Like Eash in the Super Late Models, BJ Hudson led the TH Porta John Semi Late feature from start to finish, but not without a few cautions. While Hudson led, Gary Little did his best to hold on to second to get his best finish of the season. At the line it was Hudson getting his second win of the season, over Little, Adam Nixon, Jeremy Lippert and Eric Lucas. Hudson also won the heat.
The Hugill Sanitation Small Block Modifieds saw Trent Ogden beat newcomer Max Smoker off the line at start and set the pace. As Ogden was leading, seventh place starter Todd English was headed to the front, picking them off one at a time. A late race caution with just two laps to go saw English line up on the bumper of Ogden, and as the green waved, the duo was often side-by-side, with Ogen able to hold the lead. For 19 and three-quarters of a lap, Ogden led, but exiting turn four on the final lap, Ogden gave English the room that was needed, they drag raced off the corner, and English pulled under Ogden, but Ogden battled back and at the line, it was English taking the win by only inches over Ogden. The top five were: English, Ogden, Smoker, Chris Luzier and Chris Henry. English and Smoker split the heats.
In the Winters Signs Penn Ohio Street Stocks, it was newcomers Cragen Brady and Dylan Cecee that brought the field to the start, with Cecee taking the lead and Brady falling into second. The non-stop event saw the leader open up a slight lead, while second place was undecided until the end, as Patrick Fielding, Brady and Rich Howell battled to be the runner up the entire distance, but when the checkered flags fell, it was Cecee winning over Brady, Fielding, Howell and Ray Reynolds, who was reeling in the leaders but ran out of time. Brady and Cecee won the heats.
The Littles Auto Sales Four Cylinders saw Cory Price and William Kephart on the front row, with Kephart taking the lead, seventh place starter Rob Williams was moving into second by the time the first lap was recorded. As the field worked lap four, Williams took the lead from Kephart and was able to hold on for his second win of the season Kephart was second with Eric Luzier third, Price held on to fourth and Anthony Sones was fifth. Heat wins went to Price, Kephart and Williams.
