The hot item that will be strictly enforced this Friday is the use of left handed lug nuts. Teching will be limited to the pro stocks since the tech officials are unfamiliar with late models, modifieds, and have never seen a sprint car axel nut before.

Pro stock competitors will need to visit tech with a dirtcar approved lug wrench (battery powered impacts are highly illegal in this division, don't forget) prior to hot laps and prove two lug nuts per wheel thread off the wheel stud by turning the lug wrench counter clockwise. If it's determined that your lug nuts are left hand threaded, you will not be allowed to use them due to unfair performance advantages.

Remember, the tech officials have problems distinguishing left from right or clockwise from counter clockwise. There will be some of you racing Friday with three lug nuts per wheel.....argue that they are wrong and you'll be disqualified for the nights event.

Conveniently the parts truck will have new front and rear hub assemblies on sale for $1200 a set, not including lug nuts as there is a nationwide oversized lug nut shortage. Good luck and be safe this weekend!

The rumor I heard is that they plan on utilizing the water issue in turns 1 & 2 by adding a swimming pool with a waterfall and charge an extra $30 per person for those who are using the paradise parking since it will be considered an amenity. The sales pitch is that it will add to the relaxed ambiance of paradise parking to the point that fans will be throwing handfuls of money at the track. The spectators will be so grateful to the track to the point where the owners bank accounts will be overflowing with cash just like the water does in turn 1 & 2.

The lug nut shortage has been all over the news and social media.  Things have gone from bad to worse.
