Was going to wait till Flash got the results up ,......but since I'm here   Brad Rapp wins the 5K BRP race at Mercer from the pole. ( Unofficial) Brachman second  Mckinny?(6) 3rd   Rudolf 5th  King Jr. 9th  Sr 10th.   I thought the track was poor at best.  Rudolf moved up from 12th. and that was about it. Not to take away from 11R,  best I've ever seen him run but went 35 green laps. was never challenged.  Shocking fact about this night was the crowd.  Very poor for a 5K sanctioned race.  only 16 BB and fireworks night also.  Opening night you couldn't get a hot dog it was so crowded!   What Happened!!

In my opinion too many race tracks have reopened. If the track does not have a good surface or car count eventually fans will stop coming and find other activities to do.

From Mercer's website:

1) 11R, 2), 3B, 3) 6F, 4) 35, 5) 25, 6) 61, 7) 18(?letter), 8)18G, 9)165, 10) 65, 11) 24, 12) 25B, 13) 13, 14) 03, 15) 88F

The weather likely kept some fans and race teams away, but I think the ownership and track conditions there likely contributed to the lack of fans and teams as well. No Lonnie Riggs or Jimmy Holden? Those guys always support Mercer. I was going to go but the weather kept me away.

I'd really like to see Marion Center pick up Modifieds next season. I think they'd get the support from both SB's and BB's.

Watched from much less dusty turn 1 then 4 and could see all the cars all the time without having to look thru dust.

11R did a great job and simply was the fastest thing on the track.

The only reason for him not to get challenged late was he got thru the last 3 or 4 lap cars way better then the 3 who never cleared the cars he did.

He got thru them with ease not at all being pushy about it.  Great job thru traffic.

Totally totally impressed with how the 305 winner got thru turns 1 and 2 and I think it was totally his skill in 1 and 2 which allowed him to pull away from the field.

He looked like a Tim or Dale going thru 1 and 2.

Fantastic job on the track and watching him in 1 and 2 alone was worth the price of a ticket.

Rain started and I left during the Fastrack race.

Don't know if they got the rest in or not.

edit: hats off to I think the blue 4j 305 for being a smart driver seeing late the line the leader was taking in 1 and 2 and trying to match it.

Almost got it down on one lap thru 1 and 2 but was the only one smart enough that race to try it.

Fun time watching racing at Mercer.

I went last year for the Ralph Quarterson Memorial. Sat in turn one in extremely dusty conditions and didn't get a speck of dust on my person. However, I could barely see the cars going in to turn three or exiting turn four. Did it rain up there before race time? Hard to believe it got dusty if it rained up there like it did here at home.

Never rained until the last features were being run

Apparently, it only rained hard yesterday afternoon in the Plum, Springdale, Cheswick, New Kensington area.  Didn't rain at all at PPMS.  Left at 11PM and hit some light to medium rain on the Parkway East in Penn Hills/Monroeville, then it rained VERY hard off the parkway in Monroeville & Plum.
