Might be the logic for PPMS putting a 410 show against Mercer?

The sprint finish at PPMS last night was probably the best sprint car finish Ive ever witnessed. 7/100ths of a second at the line. Amazing pass by Lynch on Matus.

If they are getting a big crowd they should look into having them every week. That would really get under Mercer's skin

On a related note, I've talked to racing friends about the idea of Marion Center picking up Big Blocks next season. The only Saturday night track is Mercer, but it seems that other than BRP shows or the Ralph Quarterson Memorial, they have trouble getting a dozen cars weekly.

I have to say it was one of the biggest crowds Ive seen at PPMS this year other than my Dads Race and of course Jook. Im curious if they could make it work somehow. Even every other week. But would the sprints support it more than that? Im sure theres concerns on motors running them on a 5/8 mile track especially when hammer down.

Seems to be the problem in general... I don't think anybody around runs small blocks and still hidden valley can't ever seem to get out of the single digits

They should be running an all star or woo sprint show every summer. Place would be packed

All star series said they will not return to PPMS. Not sure why, but that came from all star management

The Tony Stewart show a few years ago, the Boss sprints, etc were all really well attended. I agree with you there.

Personally, I think it's the lack of fire and safety at ppms is the reasonning for the all stars not wanting to come back. But I think that is a issue at a lot of the bigger 1/2 mile tracks.

The safety crew, fire extinguisher availability, ambulance, tow and push vehicles etc have never been a concern at PPMS. Those guys and girls are too notch. If I had to guess it may be over walls/bolts and catch fence.
