For the Sprint Car Spectacular this evening at Lernerville, there were Twenty-two (22) 410 Sprint Cars, Twenty (20) 305 Sprint Cars, and Fifteen (15) RUSH Sprint Cars in the pits.  Results as follows.   I don't usually editorialize much, but as a big Sye Lynch fan, I was really disappointed at how he took out Tim Shaffer after losing the lead on lap 28.  It wasn't a racing deal, it was plain old rough driving.  On the Lernerville Twitter page, someone opined that Shaffer spun and didn't know if there might have been contact with Lynch.  There was blatant contact, Shaffer didn't spin, he was spun.  End of tirade.  Results as follows:

Lynch flat out spun Shaffer.

Shaffer’s drive to the front was just spectacular and to have that happen just stinks.

Then to hear his comments in victory lane just proves what kind of person he is.

Sure don’t remember his dad being like that but sure as hell remember Grandad being like that.

I don't think it was intentional or dirty at all. Sye panicked. When Tim stormed him on the inside, Sye changed lines as if he was going to try and go under him. I think he realized too late there was no way to get under him and he ran out of talent and spun him. No reason other than he was going to get beat and he panicked.

I want to give Sye the benefit of the doubt here. There is a point in the corner that you don't have control and you're just sliding. If he was at that point, it was just a racing deal.

He did almost apologize in his interview, then he totally showed he's a Lynch and backpeddled out of the apology.

Now, Bowser has gotten just plain dirty, and he's willing to wreck and flip other drivers.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Bowser is a hack.
