Rain each day. Hopefully they move it towards the end of October. It's crazy how the extended forecast still has highs in the seventies.

Latrobe Fall Fest Night #1 Results:  There were Fourteen (14) 410 Sprint Cars, Nine (9) 305 Sprint Cars, Seven (7) UMP Modifieds, Eight (8) RUSH Sprint Cars, and Nineteen (19) 4 Cylinders in the pits.  Track was in very nice shape, big crowd, even with the threat of rain, program was run off quickly, and the announcer identified the drivers.  I left after the 410 A-Main because the wind really kicked up and lightning began appearing.  I didn't hit any rain on the way home until I got to Delmont, and then it rained pretty hard.  When the complete results are posted, I will amend the E-Mod and RUSH Sprint A-Main results, and add the 4 Cylinder A-Main results.  The Sprint Cars were mighty fast, and because the stands are so close to the track, they look even faster.

Well, the Outlaws were at Port Royal, and the forecast for rain probably kept some away.

Crazy theyre paying $1000 to win all those classes and getting single digit car counts. How is that sustainable?

I think Latrobe fans are extremely loyal, car counts were not that good all year, except for the 4 Cylinders,  but the nights I was there always had big crowds, same with last night.  I'm told the Marion Center fans are the same, although I never made it up there this year, crowds were reportedly good even though car counts were less than optimal.  Many of the race cars bring 10 or more people along (grass roots racing) and they all buy a pit pass.

It's real easy Vince the place is a front gate track. Just like how every track used to be before they started to gouge the racers.

No I get that but much like WVMS sooner or later you need to pull some cars before the fans get tired of 5-7 cars finishing a feature. I hope they do, Im just surprised it is financially viable thats all. I mean $1,000 to win emods for what looks like 3 cars finishing is crazy.

It doesn't matter how many cars finish. What matters is if the people are entertained by the racing there. I've been to a lot of tracks where a handful of cars finished exanole Friday night at the Pittsburgh in the crate division. Is entertaining as hell most most cars did not even finish.
