The big race might just be MOSS sanctioned this season. Or perhaps, " The Racers".

No matter what special shows they have I'll be there every Friday night I can get there to see the best top 4 show around.
IMHO, throw out the ya have to join my club to race here, lower the gate for the racers, jack up the back end payout and tow some, let them run there every week to race and points for who ever is interested in points.
Who cares bout special shows when you can get hooked on being there every Friday to enjoy the racing.
Feeding your weekly addiction to racing is what keeps racing going, not the once or twice a year of bring your office buddies to the races.
Add another pavilion and make it easy for small companies and groups to get together to use them.
Comradery between racers, fans and groups is what is needed to put butts in the stands.
Screw the once a year fans and cater to those addicted to the weekly get together.
I go to Mercer and sit in shit hole dirt because of visiting with friends there and the racing is just a bonus.

What are the tompsons doing to this track. First they schedule lucas over the woo for the firecracker, then they lose both woo touring series for the first time ever. Now the all stars are not even coming. No don martin memorial unless its un sanctioned. What the hell is going on?

In no particular order:
Don Martin is rolling over in his grave
Tony Stewart is buying the track
Ryan Homes bought the property to turn it into a housing plan and it's just not announced yet
The Tomsons (learn how to spell you jagoffs!) are turning it into a horsetrack with a sportsbook
Walmart and Sam's Club are coming to Sarver
Helen Martin is getting the track back in court, so they couldn't schedule any races yet
Ferree's bought the property and turning the site into a bunch of well pads
Don Martin is still rolling over in his grave
Shut the f*ck up and calm the f#ck down, everything will work out, as the living legend A-a-Ron Rodgers once said R-E-L-A-X!

I have heard rumor that the Don Martin Memorial will still be ran, but probably unsanctioned.

Not a rumor. Fact. Gm said so. No word on sanction or no sanction

Does it really matter if it's sanctioned or not sanctioned if it's Still paying the same amount. That money will be kept with the local teams that could really use it for somebody who doesn't need it on tour..
It's still paying the same with the 2nd big car race also increasing purse...

Me too. I just don't get why all the local drivers are All upset. Most of them get their asses handed to them when the outlaws come so they don't even show up.Exactly. Im just glad both races are happening still.
As for the fans I could see their perspective.. But you can just go right up the road if you want to see The Outlaws. It's not like they're not in this area.

The interesting thing is that a lot of fans asked for Lucas, (me included), and some for the Firecracker to be Lucas. I guess the cliche about being careful what you wish for comes to mind.
I wonder how much of this GM Mike had to do with. He seems to be a good promoter, and I can't imagine him losing the All Stars too, but I don't really know.
My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.
