The interesting thing is that a lot of fans asked for Lucas, (me included), and some for the Firecracker to be Lucas. I guess the cliche about being careful what you wish for comes to mind.

I wonder how much of this GM Mike had to do with. He seems to be a good promoter, and I can't imagine him losing the All Stars too, but I don't really know.

Lucas has been wanting this race for well over 5yrs... wrg contracted ended.. lucas goes to Thomson's and offers to add another 20k to win thru big river steel and more purse money...it was an offer the owners couldn't pass up (yes their responsible for the 30k to win and rest of purse).. plus the race will be on national tv. It's a deal Thomson's couldn't pass up.

As far as all stars. Watch the garage crawl on their website. Mike said all stars will be there.

The Allstars posted on their Twitter yesterday, "To keep an eye on Lernerville's social media for a special announcement later this weekend". Lernerville is guaranteed to have at least 1 Allstar race, possibly 2.

Not to mention theyre not planning on moving the race down to 50 laps in order for it to fit on tv...

How many cruises to victory are there in between those kind of races?

I was there for that one, and it was great!

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

IMHO VERY FEW !

The WoO Sprint races OUT SHINE the Allstars by leaps and bounds.  period !

The stands for Allstar races at Lernerville are just regular filled for a normal Friday race.

I go to both and keep hoping the Allstars will put on a show close to the WoO and it DOES NOT HAPPEN.  period

We shall see about that. Being it will be the DMM, the place will be packed.  I think you'll see a lot of good changes in Lernerville for 2022

It would be nice if they could kick some of that $ to the weekly purse.

Everyone can see the size of the stands at lernerville. Tracks would kill to have the fan support lernerville does. Yet I hear this excuse about they lost the woo late models because of lucas late models coming in. Go look at port royals schedule then tell me that. They have all 3 WRG divisions, sprints, late models and big block mods. On top of that they have a big lucas race also.

The days of the pits overflowing with competitors is long gone. But the crowd is still bigger than any track in western pa by a long shot.

The Tomson's wouldn't lease the place if it wasn't a money maker.

Don't they own it, lock, stock and water truck?

Doesn't change your point, though.
