Could they race without stating rules by having local racers understanding tech would be per what ever the tech man thought and his thoughts would be to follow a specific series or sanctioning bodies rules?

It's local racing and what does it matter if rules are stated or not so long as those racing "locally" know what the thoughts of the tech man will follow?

Totally spirit and intent will either pass or fail you if teched.

And those who race sort of under the table know exactly where to go to read the "spirit and intent" rules.

The track or any track would never have to publicly state or write any rules so long as "local" racers know how they will be teched.

The problem with this is the intent of the rules is ever changing and inconsistent. If it wasn't for the tech guys bracelet reminding him what his name is or where he lives, he'd probably f#@k that up too.

Unless they get the BRP tour on board (they wont), thatd be a terrible move. Splitting a division thats already on life support in the area would be disastrous

I forgot about the tour, too.

My prediction is that if they get a large enough interest in the 4 bangers the mods may very well be on there last year at lernerville. These 4 bangers bring a lot of family and friends thru the gates. They have to do something to raise the purses for the slm and sprints.

They do bring in a lot of people. I think Lernerville is too big for them. They seem to put on a better show at shorter tracks. Emig appears to have too much influence on what happens up there. If anything, I'd guess she wants one of her classes (or more) on the regular Friday card. My personal opinion is that the track continues to draw fans because of the current regular show. So, dropping the BB's in favor of a RUSH class or something else could hurt their front gate. If the current owners are really in tune with what is happening locally, then they would try to help the Modifieds, not turn their backs on them. Often times the Modified feature is the best one of the program.

I don't believe the Fab Four will be changing anytime soon.  Why mess with a winning combination?

Right again Skull.  Even with low car counts sometimes,  racing is great.  But quality of racing is not really the deciding factor.  I don't think BB are going anywhere either,  at least i hope not.  But I think they have wanted crates on a weekly basis for some time also.  Would they draw more Crate LM than BB"s??   Is the purse less??  May be changes at this track now that WRG chains are supposedly off.  Having lived thru the Challenger closing.... I'm just glad someone is still willing to chance running a race track.!!!   I'll be there on Most Friday nights and I'll get my 15 bucks worth too!!

Overall, Lernerville has one of the best car counts in the western PA area, and a one of a kind show, so I wouldn't change a thing!!!

I agree. Even when there was 8 or 9 late models. Some of those races were very entertaining for the lead... Don't mess with the fab4.

I agree about the Fab 4, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

One would hope they learned something from the switch to crate stocks.

:o

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Its no more than theyve had the last 2 years. They were on with the stand alone bi weekly rush shows 2 years ago and they had 5 or 6 shows last year

Once again the general manager Mike has stated has stated there is no entry level class on a regular night. Therefore they have added the 4 cylinders to help people get some track time that would like to compete in a division on fab 4 nights.

With the time a Fab 4 show is normally completed I can't imagine them being able to add 4 cylinders after the Pro Stocks and expect workers and safety crew to want to work later.

Maybe if they give all pit income from the 4 cylinders to employees and safety crew they could pull it off.

If Pro Stocks are allowed to use up MY personal fan time giving them hot laps and heats I will no longer be able to go unless I skip watching the last two features because it will put my getting home too late.

I'll probably have to leave to get home safely after the third feature or sooner.

I also don't see 4 cylinders on their Fab 4 schedule?
