Props to Dan Osmer for pulling it off at all. He had a dozen cars cancel at the last minute because they just aren't ready. It's going to be an interesting year. Parts and tires are still in short supply.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Remember when Lernerville gave those who brought their cars to the mall shows ten general admission tickets. Teams got ten tickets for the Lernerville show and ten for the Natrona Heights show. And one year they included a plaque for the participants.

And you used to be able to use the tickets at the pit gates for a discount on admission... You know, most racers own their own equipment and have little sponsorship, so when we take a car to put on their car show and quite literally get nothing in return for it, it puts a bad taste in your mouth. Ten tickets for your sponsors when many of us don't have any.
