West Virginia Motor Speedway kicked off its 2022 racing season this afternoon/evening, featuring the Super Late Models, going 25 laps for $10K to win, and the Sport Mods, going 15 laps for $1K to win.  Results as follows:

 

 

 

 

Super Late Model A-Main: $10K to win/25 laps

 

 

 

1.     Max Blair (111v) from 2nd/won by 1.022 seconds/led all 25 laps

2.     Ryan Montgomery (12)

3.     Devin Moran (9) from 10th/Moran crashed in Heat #1 while leading

4.     Tyler Carpenter (28)

5.     Rod Conley (71R)

6.     Ed Shuman (0)

7.     Joe Leavell (8)

8.     Freddie Carpenter (0K) DNF

9.     Chris Parks (14) DNF

10.   George Klintworth (K11) DNF

11.   Colten Burdette (44) DNF

12.   Josh Tonkin (16) DNF

 

 

 

Sport Mod A-Main: $1K to win/15 laps

 

 

 

1.     Cruz Vandall (00) from the pole/won by .809 seconds/led all 15 laps

2.     Mike Smith (s21) from 7th

3.     Thomas Sigler (PT109)

4.     Miles Cook (18C)

5.     Fred Perry (23P)

6.     Dakota Carpenter (71)

7.     Curt Reck (31) DNF

It's a shame all the hard work and they will never get the car counts.

Really is a shame. Cody busts his a$$ and just doesn’t get the support. No entry fees either. Feel bad for him.

Imo they should shorten the track. Make it a bull ring. Then i guarantee youll get the car count

They already tried shortening it to a 4/10 mile I believe in 2013 and then it sat dormant for 8 years.

the way they shortened it wasn't right...I always loved the big track and even took my Stock down there years ago.


but what I watched last night on Flo was disappointing..have to admit.
