Race-long leader, Sye Lynch, tangled with a lapped car on lap 29 while taking the white flag, ending his night, but A. J. Flick was the beneficiary of Lynch's misfortune and went on to lead the final two laps over last years's Speedweek winner, Ryan Smith.  There were Thirty-five (35) 410 Sprint Cars, Sixteen (16) Super Late Models, Fourteen (14) Big Block Modifieds, and Thirteen (13) Pro Stocks in the pits.  Results as follows:

That was a crazy race. I don't know if the 32 slowed, got into the wall, or what. Or if Sye just mis judged the speed. (Not sure if that was Rod or Vivian Jones, the cars are identical.) Either way, it was entertaining. I'll tell you what, that Ryan Smith can wheel a Sprinter. He's fun to watch. Anyway, congratulations to A.J. and crew on the win. He is on a mission at Lernerville this year.

I think it was Vivian, Skull, and I'm also not sure what actually happened.

I watched the replay on Lernerville TV, and it looks like Lynch got into the back of the #32, misjudging the speed.

Whatever happened to the move over flag to let drivers know leaders are coming?

I was watching Flick and Smith, so I don't know if it was displayed. Either way, it was a tough break for Sye. He appeared to have the field covered.

She couldn't have gotten any further out of the way without going off track.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Anyone know if AJ made contact with Bowser coming off of 2?

Seeing as it happened on the front stretch, going off track wasnt an option . Staying on the bottom woulda been a good idea.

If she was already running the high groove, it wouldn't have been an option between the flag stand and turn 1 in traffic.

There had to have been contact. it looked like Bowser tried to pinch A.J down. Racing deal.

It looked like AJ pinched up to me, which is why I wanted another opinion. Bowser already races AJ dirty, (in a sprint car of all things), so this won't help that, no matter who got into who.

Bowser seems to have an issue with A.J. I'm not sure what it is. It looks as if Flick has settled into the idea that if this is the way Carl wants to race, then so be it.
