When that track is fast like it was tonight, the racing is awesome. Congratulations to both Chas Wolbert on his first ever Big Block win and to Brandon Connor on his first Lernerville Stock win. That was an excellent race between Connor and Cody Koteles. And you're right, Flash. McDowell's flip was one of the worst I've seen there in a number of years. Glad he was okay. Poor guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It's not just that the track was fast, but that it was fast for multiple lines. I've seen the track fast for one groove, and the racing was horrible.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Right, top middle and bottom. They could literally run anywhere without any significant disadvantage. And it stayed consistent right through the last feature.

How does the Late Model feature winner fail droop rule at the scales by 3" and still is awarded the win ?  No favoritism there huh ???????  Alex should have been given the win.

Oh. We didn't know why the long tech. Maybe because John Sr. was down there and no one wanted to make him mad. :)

GOOD Question...  Why have rules posted, and not make everyone follow them???  Unequal playing field....  Track is a joke at times...  I'd post something on their Facebook page questioning the whole deal, but they just delete it anyways...

If someone is held up that long, it seems to me the fans are owed an explanation and they pretty much fluffed over it in victory lane. They had his car on the scale for 10 minutes. If he really was legal, I'm not a fan of, "Well, just make sure it's legal next week." I don't have anything against the guy, but this tells other teams they get a one-time pass on every infraction.

I didn't witness it, but was told Smokey and one of the Tompsons were in a heated discussion, screaming at each other,  afterwards.

Like I said...  Track is a joke at times...   One person is only in charge until a tough call has to be made, and then....  Crickets...   Never going to a SLM show there unless it's sanctioned...  Have a bit better chance of the rules being enforced at least...

I'm guessing Smokey wanted a DQ and then someone over his head overruled him. If he was illegal (again IF, we don't know for sure), then it wasn't fair to anyone that finished behind him. I'm guessing it was all politics at play. The Garvin's and Tomson's are likely well acquainted, both families being in the scrap metals business. Ferree finished second in the Cochran Automotive sponsored ride.  If Garvin had been DQ'd, people are screaming they wanted Cochran's car in victory lane on Cochran Automotive night. It's all water under the bridge, because it's damned likely none of us will know exactly what took place anyway.

You are more then likely correct. On Lernerville TV, they stayed on Garvin at the scales the whole time. It looked like the older official who was checking the droop said Garvin was not legal. Then Colton and his old man started yelling at the guy and it was getting tense. After awhile Garvin got out of the car to come talk to the old tech guy and Lysakowski came over as well.

Lernerville just posted this on FB a couple hours ago.

Many of you have been asking about Nathen Mcdowell after Friday night's wild ride down the front straight away. After a conversation with him and his consent, we are glad to report that he is home and resting, albeit quiet sore! He is very appreciative of all the thoughts and prayers from the finest race fans in the world!

Mark Flinner is always yelling at someone. Nothing new there. I'm surprised anyone pays any attention to him.

If you have Lernerville TV, just watch the tech crew check Colton Flinner's droop, the previous week before, when he won, ( checked out fine ) and then watch the SAME PROCEDURE checking Garvin's car...  Looks to me the car is visibly higher maybe on the LR in the video...   It's ALL right there to see...    I guess the measuring stick shrunk!  Probably just human error or something broke during the feature, but it sure looks to measure high...  Even #1 Team Rocket can get a DQ once in a while... It happens...

So if it was too high to pass tech, the win should have went to Alex.  Oh well. See who is the track pet next week.

And naturally, crickets from Lernerville on this issue.

Wow !!  Thats a little extreme.  The ever famous "Big E" is the one who runs the FB page.  I've been banned from liking or commenting on their posts for years thanks to him.  He thinks he owns the place. Poor representation
